Not sure how many times this has been posted since I haven't been checking, but the new theater in Hollywood Studios has already had a soft opening of the dance party.
I didn't go inside, but could see through the open door that it was really dark and a bunch of kids were bopping around.
A few interesting things I noticed:
Disney does a good job of designing their backstage gates such that even though they are in plain sight, you don't really notice them much because your eye is drawn elsewhere. In this case you walk through what used to be a backstage gate but since your eye is drawn elsewhere you don't notice there is more park. I actually rode the RocknRoller Coaster and didn't even notice that the new area was open. I then thought about it and walked over to see if it was indeed open early.
The new courtyard area in front of the theater is large, rectangular, and very empty. I am guessing it will eventually have a queue area.
There is an amazing view of the Tower of Terror from the new courtyard.
The new building is themed in the same weird green color and chrome as the entrance gates and much of the park. Even if they do announce a new 'identity' for the park this makes me wonder if they will keep the same decorating scheme.
