Nice. I'll just run and get me a few. Then spend the next couple hours building my credits back up. :teeth:

I just wish they'd stop doing the slant thing.

I have been to Walt Disney World over 10 times now and have yet to slide down Summit Plummit! lol...this pin will be a sad reminder to me that I let yet another year go by without sending my body down a 120 foot slide at 55 mph! lol. (had the line only been a few hours shorter... heh)

Heh. It looks so cool. But, I'll admit that I'm too much of a chicken to really try it. :teeth:

I would love to go down!! Only three things kept me from it this year...one being that a fear of mine is heights...two being I was afraid I'd lose my swimsuit on the way down  lol and the biggest reason that kept me from it was the never ending line! lol. If the line was oddly short, I could brave my fear of heights and I could find a way to be sure my swimsuit didn't come off lol. Next year maybe...

My son (10 yo) and I went down it this year. We loved it! and would have did it again but didn't want to wait another 1 hour and 45 minutes in line.

I don't have a fear of heights, but I have a security issue.

If I don't feel tied in securely, then I don't go on it. And of course, on slides, you have nothing. ;)
Although, if I had a raft or something else to hang on to, then I probably wouldn't mind doing it. :)

Try Going On Christmas No Lines.... (I can't belive i went on a water ride on christmas!!) (Only At Disney!)

Birnbaum's WDW guide suggests women wear a one-piece bathing suit for this very reason.

and take notice of the guys hanging around the water slides to watch for women who wear a two-piece. :sad2:

Cool looking pin! And I have to say, I LOVE the angle / shapes that they have been putting on pins - nice mix from basic square. Nice pin!

Yes, I would only go on with a one piece...unfortunately I didn't have a one piece so that is another reason I didn't go on lol.

So true, so true. Ladies please remember, it doesn't matter what you wear (bathing suit, makeup, etc.) , you will all look like a trainwreck when you hit the bottom of summit plummet. I saw one poor girl in a little bikini ride this. She had her hair in braids and she wanted to hang onto her sunglasses. 1) Her bikini barely stayed on. 2) her braids fell out 3) she lost her sunglasses. :p

2) her braids fell out

Wow!

getting back on subject, I'm sad that River Country is closed for the season. That would have made another cool room to have.

I like this month's pins. Very cool designs!! :thumbsup2

What do you mean River Country is closed for the season? Is there a River Country in VMK? Because the real River Country closed a couple years ago.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: This reminds me of my son when he was about two years old. We were in one of the WDW swimming pools and both kids had life vests on. My son was terrified to float by himself but was quite content to hold onto his big sister while she was floating! He wasn't any safer but that didn't matter to him! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I haven't been on Summit Plummet due to the lines however, the line is really short after the usual afternoon storm. We opted to do the family raft ride multiple times instead though.

I have worn both two piece and one piece suits on Humunga Cowabunga. The wedgies are the same for both. With the two piece, it was a t-back sport suit so I didn't have to worry about straps coming undone. Keeping my arms crossed across my chest at splashdown kept the top from moving up so nobody got to see my big feet. ;) If you are wearing a more fragile suit, you can always go buy a t-shirt and wear that over the suit when you slide.
