When we were in AK last weekend we were offered a hopper pass for storller rentals. They said it was a brand new feature they are trying out. You get a discount for buying so many days. So if you go to MK in the AM you bring the card thingy on the back of your stroller and you can use it in Epcot in the evening or where ever!

Make sure you ask for it! :cool1:

Buying multiple days is interesting: What happens if they don't have any strollers available when you arrive? (or do they no longer run out of strollers -- only wheelchairs?)

Hmmm....interesting they said it was new. People have been doing multiple day rentals for a long time. We could have done multiple day rentals for a discount last year also but didn't find out about it right away so we didn't.

I thought we would have been able to show our receipt from a rental earlier in the day and get another stroller when we were there last year but maybe I'm not remembering correctly.

WDW has always had this, but not as a pass or multiple days. You were always welcome to bring your receipt to another park entrance and obtain a stroller or wheelchair if available.

Thank you for the news.

"New?" I don't think so. We've been doing that for years, but I haven't really seen it advertised before. You do get a couple dollar a day discount by renting for multiple days at a time. We usually stay about a week so it adds up. I've never had them run out of strollers, but I suppose at super busy times like Christmas, it could happen. We love the convenience of using their strollers and not lugging ours on busses, monorail, etc.

This has been around we always took advantage of it - buying multiple days at a discount and using it whereever. I have never seen them run out of strollers.

Also, if you do buy the multiple pass and realize that you will not use all of the passes - they will give you a refund.

We did the same thing in Dec 2004. I think the new part is that they are finally telling people about the multi day discount. Even on 1 day rental you could get another stroller later in the day either at the same park, if you turn one in and return to that park later, or at one of the other parks as long as you do not take your deposit back.

oops...sorry, that's what they told us in AK. :confused3

Was excited that I had something new to share with the dis boarders.

hanging head and walking off to Charlie Brown sad music....SIGH

Come back, Marianne, come back! :goodvibes I don't want to think about a DIS'er going off to the sound of sad Charlie Brown music. :wizard:

It is funny though the things that people hear from CM's that just make you shake your head. I love the one about the bus driver telling everyone to get a refillable mug at their resort because you could refill them for free at all the parks!! All of us who have seen the famous mug threads would have a good laugh at that one.

The thing is, I bet someone read this who didn't know about it and now it's some information they can use. So, thanks for posting anyway.

I heard they increased the rental fee and now they do not offer your "deposit" back". Is there any truth to this one?

We did this on our holiday both last Dec and this May, but they did tell us about it last Dec or we wouldnt have had a clue! It also saves you standing in line every day for the stroller, I have never seen them run out yet. From the last holiday I came home with an extra day never used, anyone know if I can use that one last ticket on this holiday? I still will have to purchase the other 6 days worth.

I saw somewhere (can't remember where; maybe Deb's site??) that yes, the rental fee was increased to $10/day with no deposit. I think there was a discounted length of stay price, too, maybe $8/day??

Well, I appreciate the heads up and will use this when we are there!!!

Thanks

HI, I just want OP to know this is new information for me. :goodvibes I knew you could rent a stroller each day and take your receipt to another park that same day, I did not know you could buy a pass for multiple days or get a discount. I would really like more info on this-- the cost of a one day and the cost of using a multiple day. We have always taken our own stroller, but are debating this year what to do we will have 7 adults and our almos 4 year old with us. I know we will want a stroller, I just don't know if I should take ours or rent. Any suggestions and why?

Does anyone have the exact pricing information for renting in advance multiple days? This will be the first time we are renting and know we need one for about 4 or 5 days.
