New Star Tours Stories

We went on Star Tours last week and noticed that they were featuring the new stories. We went on multiple times and saw three different stories. Has anyone else been on it recently?

What were the stories you saw? I believe the new ones would be Ahsoka and Mandlorian related.

I have never seen Star Wars. I know.

According to my spouse, one is attacking the AT-ATs. The other was under water and there was a creature that looked like the one in the trash compactor in Episode 4. The third was an attack on the Star Destroyers. I believe they all ended in Batuu.

They tweaked the pre-show video as well. It gives a better backstory for C3PO piloting Star Tours.

This was my first thought
Then I realized we are on a Disney board and not a Star Wars board. So of course, there are going to be those like LKing that have not seen ST. My wife and daughters fall into the camp of having never watched ST but like and appreciate The Galaxy's Edge.

I really like Galaxy's Edge. It feels so immersive. I know the basic characters, but not the storylines. Regardless, ROTR is one of my favorite rides. For what it is worth, I'm the same way in Avengers Campus - I've only seen a few of the movies and don't know all of the characters. I watched Guardians after going on the ride. I tried watching SW after ROTR, but only made it through the first movie. At least I saw the part with blue milk.

Nice -- looking forward to new stories in Star Tours. AND, I completely agree with comments posted to the OP's linked article: let's get some new stories for the Millennium Falcon! (Oh, please ...???)

LOL, You are so much like the most important ladies in my life. They gave it a try!

The flip side is that I have really tried watching their reality shows but just can't keep watching them (OMG, there are so many of them!!)

The main thing is that we all give it a go because we love our family

Btw - those aren't new. The AT-AT attack is Hoth from Empire Strikes Back, the underwater scene is the Gungans from the prequels, the Star Destroyer scene is from Rise of Skywalker. The first two were added in 2011 when they re-did Star Tours (to remove the original movie with Rex), the latter added in 2019 with the release of that movie.

It's possible that they're just rotating the existing scenes back in. I remember a period a few years ago where I only got either sequel stories or only original trilogy scenes.

But it's awesome to see that they're still working to add new stories. (I missed that story in April.)

This is cool! I love Star Tours. Sadly, my sister can't go on it because it makes her sick, so I only go on it when I'm with my daughters.

From memory, they added the Batuu ending in 2017 to tease Galaxy's Edge while it was being built. But they removed it at some point, I think with the changes for Rise of Skywalker. (There was a period in 2019/2020 that pretty much the entire ride was Rise of Skywalker.)

I think the blood scene might be the Last Jedi section from Crait (2017) where you get covered with the red salt from the planet.

Hahaha! Yes! I told you that I haven't seen the movies! Thanks for clarifying that these are the return of original/older scenes, not new.
