Saratoga NY is a great place!!! It was great when we first heard that WDW was creating a Saratoga resort and was a thrill to have both our homes in "Saratoga".

I only live a couple miles from the Saratoga Race track. I would love to put together a collection of pictures - but Mark did a great job. I had never noticed the 'bird houses' so that was really cool to see.

Yep, McTague ( Parks Dept head) came up with them after the sculpture ( Spit and Spat) in the italian gardens were vandalized when some idiot (sorry) cut off one of the arms. City didn't need to watch the park like big brother before that.
We have concerts Sunday nights during July. It would be great to do the same at SSR.

I just wanted to say Hey to my former neighbors in Saratoga Springs, NY!!!!

I grew up in Mechanicville and always loved going to Saratoga in the Summer to take in the beauty and excitement of the town at that time of year.

My husband and I found it pretty funny that when we inquired about DVC, the resort that they were offering was SSR!!! We took a ride through the resort last month on a drive through Orlando and I have to say that it did take me back to my days growing up in the area of the real Saratoga Springs!

I think DVC should have put a working carousel in the Carriage house and put the check in area somewhere else!

Thanks TJK. It should also be required reading for those of us who live full time near the real Saratoga Springs. as it seems a lot of DVCers do.

That would be a great idea! That certainly would differentiate SSR in such a great way.
