Has anyone stayed? I know it's been open less than 2 weeks.
Would it be better to stay in the palm parkway area or Flamingo Crossing for traffic, etc. We stayed at Flamingo Crossing last year and liked it, but I'm tempted to stay at the newer hotel.

On location, I would prefer Flamingo Crossing ever time.

Palm Parkway is more congested and busy.

Now, some may want those strip mall places to visit, but I prefer the quiet and lack of clutter over at Flamingo.

There's nothing in Flamingo Crossings, aside from the two hotels there its just an undeveloped Disney area.I will say if you need to go to a Walmart take Flamingo Crossings to Avalon rd or the 429 and go north 10 minutes and you have the nicest Walmart in the area at New Independence pkwy, theres also a Publix,a Wendys and a new movie theater. But the new hotel in Palm Pkwy is really nice,I drive by it all the time,in this area you're a lot closer to all the restaurants in Lake Buena Vista, you're really close to the Vineland outlets, just go east to Darryl Carter and make two rights and youre there and that area also has more restaurant options, the closest Walmart to this area is in the same Palm pkw which becomes turkey lk rd but this walmart is usually a madhouse. In my opinion try the new hotel,it looks really nice and theres a lot more shopping and restaurant options. The Flamingo crossings hotels are definitely nice but they feel too isolated back there.

I've stayed at both of these. In terms of location, I found both of them very convenient to Disney World. But I was disappointed that in neither one did I arrive to a shower/bathroom area that was cleaned as well as I'd hoped, and it took a few requests to get them to clean more thoroughly. My standards tend to be higher than average, so you might not have any issues.
