New Soarin’ coming summer 2026!

I bet it will debut s bit before July 4 - probably at the start of "Summer season." I could see it lasting through the end of the year, though that's just a guess. I imagine they may bring it back for limited engagements too, like they do for California.

Ok. The DL summer season usually starts in early May until the first weekend of August. You are probably right in that it will run awhile for its debut session.

Our National Park system is something that set the US apart from the rest of the world in many ways, so I'd love to see some things on that. Yellowstone, Glacier, Joshua Tree? The Grand Canyon is probably a given. And I'd hope they'd include something from Alaska and Hawaii for sure. Maybe other unique things like the Everglades? Even if it wasn't a "national parks" show, there are just so many things in the national parks that are visually stunning and illustrate the diversity of the US so well that I'd think they'd be heavily included.

Because Patrick Warburton is doing this bit of marketing for the new video, I am hoping that they have him update the pre-flight instructions especially now that both parks (DLR for sure -- WDW not sure) has changed the safety belt locking mechanism, the pre-flight instructions could use a little sprucing up. And that's saying something, because it is my most favorite pre-show instruction video now that Muppets is finished.

I would think not. It is changing the "film". They just did an extended quasi-closure at DLR earlier in 2025 for theater maintenance and improvements. I do not know if there was a similar closure or quasi-closure at WDW

I just pray the new show was shot in IMAX. Sadly, I have very little faith in TWDC to spend the proper amount of money to give guests a good, proper show by displaying an IMAX "film" in IMAX format. Soarin' Around the World is shot in digital format and stretched to fit the screen. It's cheap and bad show.

Been hoping for a long time they would do this version.
Excited..but apprehensive...hope they do a better job than the World one.

Since it seems they are actually going out and capturing real footage with cameras, I think it will be a zillion times better than the World version.

And, ugh, I sure hope they lay off the CGI, or at least keep it to a minimum. No more fake animals, please!!

I agree with you. One of the reasons I like the California version better is that it looks real, and you can tell the World version has extensive CGI.

My guess based on pure speculation is no. At DL, they can swap out the versions pretty easily. During a five or six day trip I was able to see both versions. Unless the theaters need extensive maintenance or some kind of overhaul, it should be pretty seamless.

Yeah, it shouldn't be too hard. They do have to change out the scent canisters, but that shouldn't be too difficult either. There might be a few days of downtime to get it all settled and tested.

3) I know it was pre planned but.....just to me funny to have this version now. The Timing to me is just funny with everything going on

What do you hope to see in this new version? I would like Old Faithful at Yellowstone, a deep dive into Grand Canyon, Devils Tower, something beautiful from Pacific Northwest and Alaska. I hope they found UNIQUE scenes that are not the usual cliches...a Mardi Gras parade, skiing in Colorado ( we do other things here too), NYC skyline, etc.

Hope they surprise us!

I hope to see a bent Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas.

Agree with a lot of the thoughts. So many great places to include in the US. Statue of Liberty (since it is for the 250th), Niagara Falls (even if the Canadian side is the best views), Wrigley Field (only because to me it is such an iconic ball park), Grand Canyon, some bayou or everglade swamps, Mt Rushmore (again for the 250th), Yellowstone and Old Faithful, Mt McKinley, lava flows in HI....

Just no CGI and please make sure CA version is still used for Food and Wine!

I completely agree! The original will always be the DL fan favorite!
