Has anyone else seen the new Snow White/Seven Dwarves House on the Disney Store WebSite? I made the mistake of looking at the website with my 3 year old in my lap last night and she spotted it and went nuts!! She said "Click on that! Click on that!". When I did her eyes got huge and she said "That's what Santas bringing me for Christmas!!!". YIKES-- the thing is $129.00. :scared1: And that doesn't include the dolls. :scared1: Of course, that is what she would immediately pick! My Mom went to the store today to look and see if it is nice and they aren't putting them out in the stores until Monday. The lady brought it out and showed My Mom and according to my Mom it is adorable. It better be for that price! The lady told Mom they only have 6 for our store and they have already had several people who saw it on the website call and ask about them. I have a feeling DD isn't going to move on to something else. Last year she picked out what Santa was bringing her in June and never changed. Anyone one else thinking about paying that outragous price and getting it too?

My DD also picks out hard to find gifts from Santa. A giant stuffed Tiger one year, which doesn't sound that bad but it was a $115 and our local toy store sold out before I could get back a few days later to get it. It took me months to get another one. Santa's gift is usually around $100 to $150 dollars every year, I just don't want her to think Santa isn't going to get her what she asked for and she would think it was because she was bad etc...

Good Luck with Snow white, Disneystore.com has specials all the time, I am sure they will mark it down closer to Christmas. Last year DD wanted the several princess items like the stroller, cash register, and baby pricess bathtub, I bought them on sale, but the closer it got to christmas the prices fell. I already had hers wrapped or I would have returned them for the better price.

I took a look at it because that is something that would be right up my daughters alley too, and it does include Snow White and the dwarves. I saw where it said it didn't include the dolls (not sure what that is referring to but it is confusing) but right above that it says it includes a 14" Snow White and the dwarves. Still seems steep to me though.

I haven't seen the snow white house, but a couple of years ago, DD5 was dying for the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. Impossible to find, way too expensive for what is was, had to buy all the characters (except Mickey, I think) separately. But you know what, she still plays with it all the time and loves it to death. In the end, I'd say it was definately worth it. And it has held up really well. If she knows what she wants already, do yourself a favor and get it now, before its gone. You can always return it if she changes her mind next month. Good luck, and I hope mine doesn't see it, we have way too many doll houses already!:lmao:

If you look it doesn't say that those are included it says that it fits them.

Thanks OP! I really love this. My DD loves playsets like this.
The price is pretty steep though. I hope it is bigger than it looks.

After seeing this thread, I made the mistake of looking, and it's adorable! DD has recently become interested in Snow White (much to my dismay!) and will be getting the 14 inch dolls for Christmas, so I might have to get the house...

That is a cute house, but I think that is really, really expensive, especially without dolls...which is at least another $35!! It also has a bunch of little teeny, tiny pieces to get lost all over your house!

I have also learned to be very leary of the quality of toys in the Disney Store, parks and online....I would definately wait for that to go on clearance. I would be surprised if it is still full price around Christmas....but if it is not low enough then, you could wait it out until Easter (maybe the dwarves would fit in big eggs!!).

Just for comparisons sake, check out this treehouse, that I think inspires creative play way more than a plastic dollhouse:

Or get a set of fairies from the Disney store and this:

I don't know I have been disappointed too many times by Disney toy quality....I think I would have to really think about that at $30, much less $130, then having to buy dolls too!!

Yeah you are right. Guess I am more tired than I thought. That is really pricey then. They should at least throw in some dolls. The Fisher Price one is half the cost and it includes 4 dolls and an outdoor playset!

Yikes- That Tiger was worse than the house! :) I know, I'm the same way. If she really wants something from Santa and has for months, I don't want to see her come out Christmas morning and not find it. Last year starting about May she picked 2 Santa things. 1 was a Prairie Dawn (sesame street) doll. That's not a character you can really find in the stores, but she was convinced that Santa would make one for her if the stores didn't have them. I wound up calling Sesame Place in New Jersey to find one. It was easy once I thought of doing that, but I was stressed out for a while first.

Perdita Marie those toys are adorable. Unfortunately, right now DD is all Disney Princess all the time. I know what you mean about the quality. She got the castle playset from the parks for her 3rd birthday. I was disappointed with the quality (for the price) when we took it out of the box, but she still plays with it all the time. JMA Mom- we've been through the Mickey Mouse clubhouse too- her Aunt got her that for her 2nd Christmas (or maybe her 2nd birthday, I can't remember which). She did play with it quite a bit for about a year. We still have it, but it's put away.

I'm afraid I'll definitely be forking over the dough for the house! I know the website has great sales and I'd really like to wait, but I'm scared this might sell out fast. (I've waited too long on stuff on the Website and had that happen before). It really does look cute.
