Looks like they replaced the sausage with peel & eat shrimp. And I guess "seasonal veggies" means that they won't always have corn-on-the-cob.

Canyon Skillet: All You Care To Enjoy
Mixed greens with apple vinaigrette dressing, fresh baked cornbread with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, cowboy beans and seasonal vegetables.
Smoked pork ribs, pulled pork, oven-roasted chicken, Peel-n-Eat shrimp

DH will be happy with the change but I would prefer the sausage. Somehow shrimp just seems wrong in a skillet full of good BBQ food.

Didn't there use to be corn on the cob instead of green beans? Shrimp doesn't sound right with the rest of the food. But then I don't care for shrimp.

oh! I think I am going to have to switch for DH b-day...I'm allergic to shrimp and ds doesn't like it.

Ugh....that stinks....I loved the sausage and yes, they did have corn-on-the-cob. We ate there just last month and it was as good as usual. Plus, pulled pork, didn't it used to be a smoked turkey leg?

Don't get me wrong, I still like everything on the menu but the changes do seem odd. The shrimp seems totally out of place. It sort of reminds me of what they did at 'Ohana....removing the shrimp there and replacing it with sausage doesn't make sense to me either....plus, I loved those huge shrimp they used to have!

Yuck, we hate shrimp and it doesn't fit with the rest of the skillet.

When we were there in August of last year, the pulled pork was part of the skillet-as was the corn-on-the-cob-now it is "seasonal veggies?"

I love shrimp but even I think it does not fit with that meal. Cowboy beans is a baked bean with sort of a BBQ sauce around here and I believe, from prior experience at WCC, it is the same there.

Maybe the shrimp are to take care of the Coastal Cowboys hunger:rotfl2:

I am picturing a surfer with chaps lassoing a shark right about now. Time to go to bed. Hope I do not dream. :lmao:

Drink warm milk-you don't want those dreams! If all else fails, have a glass of wine! :lmao:

We were there on Thursday and we did have shrimp, chicken, pulled pork, ribs, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, beans, and yummy salad. It was all very good, but that is the first time I have eaten there, so I have nothing to compare it to.

I will miss the corn on the cob but I love shrimp and am not a big sausage fan so that change makes me happy. DH will be crying though - he loves the sausage!

I am personally glad they changed the menu. Our family loves shrimp!!! They did used to serve shrimp at Ohanas and most people complained when they changed it to sausage on skewers instead.

God I hate sounding negative, but I HATE these changes when ADR's are already made. (Especially during free dining). My wife hates shrimp, or anything related to seafood for that matter, and I don't care for it myself.

Why in the heck would they take sausage away from a cowboy style meal and replace with shrimp! :confused3

Anyone know if there are any changes to the lunch skillet? I'd love peel and eat shrimp instead of sausage. I already have lunch ressies in Dec so I'm curious about this.
