After much waiting, my local photography shop received a new shipment of lenses this morning and I am pleased to say I picked up TWO!!!

I now have the nikon 18-200 VR and the 50mm 1.8. I am so excited I had to share the news. My wife is excited too, but she is just happy because I am happy. You all will understand my joy. Look out Yekcim, I am headed to a zoo!!

Now I need some advice on what to do with the 18-135 that came with my
D80. Any thoughts?

We'll be looking for those great animal shots. I guess the 18-135 is redundant, now, with the 18-200VR. I would suppose that it would bring a decent price on eBay or maybe some Nikon driver who lurks around this board might PM you....

Those are the same 2 lends I have. Congrats and enjoy! As far as selling the 18-135, try eBay or craigslist.

Congrats!! The 18-200mm is a great walk-around/general purpose lens that will serve you well for 90% of shots.

Sweet pickups. I love the 50mm f/1.8 lens very sharp. Haven't used the 18-200, but its a heck of lens to have.

I'm sure it should be fairly easy to get rid of the 18-135. Ebay is good to start, check out other auctions on the lens first to see what kind of final prices people are getting for them. I've seen some on craigslist and also keh.com is looking for digital lenses, though you might not get as much as you would on craigslist or ebay.
