new servers?

When I saw the posts about getting new servers I was happy since it was running extremely slow for me all of the time. Unfortunately, it's still running way too slow yet

I can deal with 'slow' - but so many times in the last few days, I've gotten a server error, or unable to connect, or something similar

Once again, I have to say that this can't be an easy thing to migrate to the new servers. There would have to be some down time. While all seems good now, I will not be disappointed if there are some slow or down periods for a couple of days. A temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement.

I am still not receiving email notifications. Is anyone else? I am wondering if it is my spam filter.

I thought it was my computer too! No emails but right now the boards seem to be working great for me. Hope everyone has better luck with the boards.

I am so glad to hear that the email problem is not just me! I have been having computer problems and I just assumed it was another issue to add to my long list for the Geek Squad. ( I'm not rude,that is there real name! hehe)

With the changing to new servers and the work that has entailed, does the DIS have the funds needed to cover all the work and improvements that they want to accomplish?

If not, you might want to "put the word out" that donations would be helpful.

I'm already a lifetime sponsor but would not hesitate to help out if some cash were needed during this most important upgrade.
