I have been getting the clips on FB but still haven't managed to fathom out much about it - except you apparently have to be over 16 to go on it (or something like that).

As Nat says, we are going in June - it will be open by then and I can't wait to go on it

Sounds intriguing! I didn't know you had to be over 16 to ride.....or that it had a drop element! Anyone know anymore?!! Only a couple of weeks until it's open!

They are calling it a psycoaster, meaning there is a strong psychological fear going on, combined with the coaster. It opens on march 20th with the park for the season, the line should be as much a part of the experience of the ride, coming alive around you!
I didn't know about the age limit either, Cara will be very dissapointed if that's true as we were going on a girly trip last week of march just to ride it :-(

Having said that, it doesn't say anything about age minimum on Alton Towers website - however, I would prepare Cara for the fact that she may not be able to ride.

Th13teen does look like it will be a well theamed, fab ride. The minimum riding age was just a rumour though as it is being themed as the worlds 1st psychcoaster! From the rumours I have heard from the various Alton Towers fan sites I go on is that the worlds 1st element will take place in the crypt section of the ride. Aparently you go into the crypt, the track drops and then you are pulled out backwards. The track itself can't be that bad though as there are no over head restrains just lap bars. I will let you know what it is like as we are going to Alton Towers on the 28th March to renew our annual passes. It does look good though, the whole land has been retheamed for the ride, Rita now has new theming with tree branches around the control tower.

I'd rather not go than have anything to do with that rag...

Personal reasons for that aside, there's plenty of places to get two for ones (Tesco, even just a quick google search) out there

The roller coaster looks good tho, hopefully I'll get onto the school trip there this year after being bumped off last years due to being needed around school

The rollercoaster sure looks cool, but I'm not entirely sure I'll enjoy the 'psy' part of it - even the Universal HHN posters scare me

While for alot of you Disney is your "happy" place, well this is Alton Towers for me I've been going since I was about 4 years old, I even remember a time before Nemesis! It's like my childhood happy place, lol.

I just need to persuade the boyfriend to go again!

Luke i got it straight away. My dh is a liverpool fan and he h8s this paper for i presume the same reasons as you.
Im sure its a lfc thing as well as a Liverpool town thing !!

how scary is the little trailer on FB?! and it doesn't even show you the ride it's the way the number 13 is dangling from the branches, it makes me shiver!

yep you're right, it is an LFC thing but here most everton fans boycott it too

Just saw the trailer for 13 too, will deffo be riding it but for the coaster elements rather than the psychological side, I'm a big scaredy
