New Rides since 2000 - help me out!

We just found out we're going with my husband on a business trip and staying at the Coronado Springs hotel in mid January. I haven't been to Disney since December 2000 and will be bringing my 9 year old son. What's new since then? I know I have to run out and get the guides and do some research, but what comes to mind as new and "not to be missed"? All I can think of is the new space thing at Epcot, and obviously don't know much about that! Thanks for any replies!

Stitch's great escape is new in the Magic Kingdom. Thats all that comes to mind right now.

If you go on the WDW website, go to:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/experience/whatsNew?id=WhatsNewExpListingPage&count=7

Copy this and paste into your browser. If it doesn't work, just go to the "parks section" of the WDW website. On the right side, it says "choose your experience." Then click "What's new?" It will show you everything, (including attractions, shows, restaurants etc.) in the past 5 years, 3 years and 1 year.

Thanks for all the help! The link was really helpful! Does anyone know anything about a new, big roller coaster at Animal Kingdom? DH mentioned he had heard about one. When does that open? Thanks!

The new coaster in AK is called Expedition Everest. It will be located in the Asia section of the park. Everest is scheudled to open in spring 2006.

It's going to be great- but we are both going too early for it for now!
