What kind of restaurant would you love to see at WDW (that they don't already have)?

Personally, I'd love them to put a Raw Food only restaurant in there somewhere - AK would probably be the best location.
I really think that WDW could go all out with raw food - you know they'd make some delish dishes!

I have really longed for a good Texas bar-b-que type place. Picture places like Lone Star, or similar, but much more authentic. With lots of Tex-Mex sides. That would be good.

A south-east Asian place...whether Malay, Indonesian, Singaporean, Thai, or Vietnamese...

Even another Chinese-style place...but more authentic this time (Nine Dragons is fine, but kinda Americanized)...

With the exception of Japanese (which is well-represented by the Japan pavilion, Kimonos, and sushi bars at California Grill and Wolfgang Puck), there's a distinct lack of Asian restaurants...Nine Dragons, Kona Cafe and perhaps Ohana is it...and even the last 2 are more Pacific-style...:)

Cheers,

Joe

A completely vegetarian restaurant.

Yeah - that would be good.

My Raw Food idea would be vegan (no sushi as part of the raw foodist lifestyle, I believe), but a cooked vegetarian restaurant would also be welcomed.

To be honest, I'm actually a little suprised that there isn't a purely vegetarian restaurant already (I'm pushing it with raw food!).

i think raw would be fabulous too. it been a successful model in NYC, LA, Seattle, SF..... i *love love love* it. even DH does and he's so not normally a veggie/healthfood type.

also though i can't believe there's not a thai place.

Definitely a more veggie oriented restaurant, that would have no fried foods. I wouldn't mind seeing organic meat (and veggie!) offerings too.

And yes, a Vietnamese place would be great- even if it were just CS to get some pho, bun and vegetarian rice paper rolls with peanut sauce. Yum!

I don't really mind what type just as long as they add another sit-down to MK and AK. I think those two parks really need another restaurant.

I'd also like to see a SE Asian place. I lived in Malaysia for four years and travelled extensively in the region, and there was a lot of awesome food.

Another good idea might be a Korean barbeque place.

I'd second the adding another sit down to AK. That place is seriously lacking in dining options. Maybe an asian themed resturant would work out well there.

I agree, although I really enjoy Flame Tree and Tusker House, I think AK could really use a more upscale sit down restaurant but I'm guessing because of the park hours (they usually close at 5pm) it probally would not be profitable enough. But your right, Asian would be perfect there. I've been to a restaurant called Stir Fry, where you go on a cafeteria type line and pick out various food items that you would want in your stir fry, you could have it all veggie or you could have chicken or beef with it, then you bring it up to the chef and puts it in the wok for you and cooks it. Very good and you are eating what you picked. Good concept. Another type restaurant I have been to is fondu. You pick on a menu a general idea of what you would want, they bring it to you raw and you cook it in the fondu. Although I love this type restaurant, I don't know if it would work at Disney especially if you have alot of small children. MGM could also use some better restaurant choices. Anyone for the Great Movie Restaurant Ride?? :teeth:

Yeah - all they'd have to do is replace the cars with tables to eat around, and you could enjoy your meal and film stuff at the same time!

Someone mentioned it on another thread- a character meal with just the villians. I don't care what they serve. That would go over like gangbusters at MGM... They would have a lot of fun planning that.
