New Restaurant coming to EPCOT!!

I wonder what type of cuisine they will serve! I also wonder if it will be Signature dining, because there will certainly be high demand to eat there...

I am so tired of this complaint. There are TONS of interesting options in every park. Heck, it's hard to even find a hamburger at this point.

I go to WDW (at least) biweekly. Epcot has a lot of interesting options (not necessarily terrific, but interesting). MK still has way too much crappy American food, as does Studios. AK is the only park that has a lot of really good places to eat imo.

The number of times you go to WDW lends no more credence to your assertion, AFAIC. What exactly IS "crappy American food" in your opinion, and what would you like to see served instead?

Burgers, fries, hot dogs, and those horrible chicken nuggets (which are, incidentally, my preschooler's favorite food ever-blargh), turkey legs, etc.

I actually really like a number of the resort restaurants, both for food quality and variety. I try to avoid eating at Studios or MK if I can help it.

Have you tried Skipper Canteen?

We really enjoyed the menu there.

Yes! I did too. I just don't like paying $$$$$ every time I go to MK. We usually just walk over to the Wave or hop on the Monorail.

So what you're saying is there ARE lots of interesting choices at WDW...perhaps not in every park. Epcot and AK are shining examples of what theme park food should be IMO.

To be fair, Yes, the Studios is abysmal with it's food choices. I'm hopeful Star Wars: galaxy's Edge will fix that.

MK: Pecos Bill has nice bowls, fajitas, etc. Columbia Harbor House has some seafood choices, lobster roll, salmon, tuna salad. BoG has some great stuff (and grey stuff!). Waffles sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow, Baked Potato at the cart in Liberty Square. Rotisserie Chicken and ribs at Cosmic Rays. I can't even remember the last time I had a burger at WDW in a park (we grabbed one at Deluxe at DS and it was great).

AFAIC, anyone who eats crappy food deserves crappy food because they are too lazy or disinterested in looking for the good stuff, because the good stuff is out there and easily accessible.

I said the issue was with the parks, not with WDW itself. And, in fairness, it's really with particular parks.

I am not a fan of most the quick service MK restaurants. I think the seafood at Columbia is pretty blah, as is the Mexican at Pecos. The waffle sandwiches are ok but so fatty. I like BOG. The other ones serve too much fat and grease for my taste, although I can usually find something acceptable. They're still too fast foodish, imo, for the money you have to spend.

And those deluxe burgers at the new DS burger joint are good.

I hope the restaurant has some standard American fare so we can eat there. Our DS13 is super picky, and we are so sick of eating first then getting him something to eat after at QS. It's part of why we love places like Sanaa and Yak & Yeti - I can get a mango lassi and chicken biryani or chicken tikka masala and he can eat a hamburger! Under one roof!! Don't they eat burgers in space?

I think the key here is VARIETY. And I definitely hope it will have that!

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like Ten-Forward from Star Trek: The Next Generation?

Never thought about it, but I can see it now that you mention it! They don't own that IP though, so don't think it was intentional.
