New res system experience

We booked 4 nights at AKV and 2 at VB. They showed in the system as the same res#. We couldn't do online check-in because of a limitation of the new system. However we were surprised when I got a text message our last day at WDW telling me our rom at VB was ready and giving me the room number (very odd as I never got this message when we were waiting for our room at AKV).

Arriving at VB sure enough we were all checked in (same credit card number and all). They said they had to issue us new keys (although our AKV keys dd have our last day at VB as the check-out date - as did our parking pass), but commented that the intent of the new system is that someday you'd just go to your new room and use the same key.

I posted the same thing 2 days ago...Our posters answered me that this is the new updates in the reservation system. I checked online to see my combined reservation for xmas week and all is fine(4 nights at VWL and 2 nights at HHI).

Wow, that is pretty cool! I hope it works that way when we get to WDW in a few weeks. Doing two nights at BWV and then changing rooms to BLT for three nights.

It would be great to find out things were in the process when we get there around 11:00 am!
