New purchase annual fees

Just closed on AKV, received a bill today for the annual fees. Is it normal to be charged for the entire year even though its already June?

If you purchased directly from Disney, your dues for this first year should be pro-rated from the later of: your purchase date, the start of your initial Use Year and the occupancy date of the unit you purchased.

Did you purchase directly from Disney? How many points did you purchase and how much was the bill?

Helps when I look harder at the bill and not just get sticker shock over the $700. They did pro-rate it for 243 days. Bought 225 points which would work out to ~$1000 a year. Thanks for the help Lisa, and I give you a big Homer "D'oh!!"

You can make arrangements with member accounting to pay it monthly through a direct debit from a checking or savings account. There is no fee to do this.
