Called Disney this afternoon asking if there were any PIN CODES associated with my name. The CM was very excited to see 2 new pin codes. One that runs from May 1-Nov. 18 for "Ticket Upgrade" which really means free Park hopper option. But that is not the exciting part. The second pin code is a mystery. The CM gave me the number, but say their is no description for the code except that is isn't even allowed to be booked until Aug. 13th. I kept pressing to see if she would speculate and she stated "Something Big".

So here is hoping for something for my trip in October (Free Dining??? or 30% - 40% off resort???) I can't wait.

Worse case scenerio...I will book the "ticket upgrade" code for free park hopper. At least that saves me a couple hundred!

Hoping for 30%-40% off room price, I've been hoping for this for my October trip since I booked it in May. Come on Disney, don't let me down.

The fact the whole pin code is of some big secret! The CM said that it was very interesting that there is no info, except a very strict Aug. 13th booking start date.

I can only hope this extends thru December and is really going to happen! I am booking tonight for Dec 11- 16 at AKL for dh and I an adults only trip. A discount would be great...don't care what the discount is!

The odd thing is that I also called last week to request pin codes and I was told there was one for November to end of December for the "free park hopper" option. But then when I called today that one wasn't there, but one from May to November 1st for the same thing. If I were you I would call every other week. All it takes is phone call...the worse they can tell you is there are not a codes associated to your name...however the plus side is a glass ceiling.

i hope it 40% resort..been waiting for months for anything for our late oct trip

So you can just randomly call and ask if there are any pin codes attatched to your name? I thought they had to send them to you via internet, snail mail etc?
:confused3

There was a time a while back that the CM's weren't telling you over the phone if you had a PIN code attached to your name.

If people are having luck with it then I guess a call wouldn't hurt.

They usually do send them by e-mail or snail mail. However, if you keep calling and don't have one, maybe they flag you for wanting one. Nobody really knows how or why some people are picked.

You usually can. Because emails get flagged as spam, mail gets lost en route, stuff happens. So their system can tell if you have one, but most likely you will get the mailing if you do have one.

Reading this thread I called to see if there were any pins connected to my name...there weren't :sad1:, BUT she said that SEVERAL different levels of pins were going out some for packages some for rooms. She hadn't heard of any for park hoppers though. We don't get pins unless they are open to everyone:sad2:. Hoping something besides FD or Room Rate comes though before our MNSSHP trip the end of OCT. Room Rate really wouldn't help since we have the package...oh well, budgeted for the current price...would just be nice to be ahead for our June trip! AT least we are going :yay:

I think the free park hopper option includes the Water Park Fun N More Option as well. At least thats what it was for us when we got our pin in December.

Got one in the mail today for reduced rates...4 nights at $480 per adult and $230 for kids with quick serve that included tickets but did not specify resort but it was only good for a period during November. Hoping for May!!:yay:

I'm going to move this to our resort pin code board.

I have called and done this over the years and never been a lucky recipient but then I can say I tried which to me is better than missing a code and never knowing it until too late as some posters have found out.

Ooooh I hope this is true! I would like SOMETHING - ANYTHING for our October trip!

Actually, it does help usually. A room-only discount can be converted into a package. All it means is that the discount is on the room portion of the package only, and you still pay full price for tickets & dining plan. Otherwise, people would think that they would also get a percentage off the price of the tickets and dining.

While I believe this story, there are a couple of very odd things about it.
While I have no idea how the internal PIN system works at Disney, I'm quite surprised that a name would already be tagged with a PIN, about 3 weeks before the PIN even goes active.
Also, August 13th is a Saturday...... Not sure when PINs usually become active, but I wouldn't think a Saturday.
