New Pricing Wishes Weddings 2009/2010

Actually, I had a question about the food minimum and the whole wedding minimum - does the food add on top of the wedding minimum? Or is it included in the $12K?
Thanks

The food goes towards your overall minimum of 12k. Out of the 12k, you have to hit a minimum of so much per person for food during what time of day the ceremony is. I hope I explained that right.

I'm getting married next May and I've already paid my deposit and have my LOA, does that mean I'm still under the old pricing? I don't want to pay $3000 for the WP!

I'm sure if we already signed our letter of agreement it won't change since the price for the wp was in there.. atleast i hope!

Right - if you are already under contract then you are at the old pricing!

:(

Where is the info posted?

It was received directly from DFTW, however, I am not sure if they have updated their websites yet. The best person to ask questions on the new info would be your Coordinator or Planner.

Does anyone know of any more? Dare I ask?

There are some pricing changes to video (I think this has been around for a month or so) as well as some areas of entertainment etc. Nothing major like the others that I am aware of.

Thank you for the heads up anyway, at least we will be expecting it now!

I'll have to have a talk with DF on what we should do. I made it to the $10K minimum and I had more or less everything I wanted (or needed!) - except the Coach :) Maybe I should just add it on

Although with the other minimum increases, I'm not sure I'm going to need to add anything on :(

Thanks lurkyloo. I didn't realize that all food was counted in the 125p that's good news. Also, the food is counted toward the 12k min. right? If that's true then it's not so bad. It just means I'll be forced ;) to add on some extras.

wow thats a pretty big jump for ones like myself who are on tight budgests!...I am booking in 2009 to get married in 2009...that doesn't mean my minimums will be raised am I reading this right...that the minimums are raised for 2010 weddings?

Correct. Anything you buy from Disney - food, drinks, flowers, photography, etc. - counts toward the minimum.

The minimums are raised effective immediately. So unless you are already working with DFTW on your contract, you will be at the higher minimums. :flower3:

I'm not surprised because price increases always happen, but for some reason I am so disappointed by this! After dreaming of a Disney wedding, I just became engaged at the beginning of September and we decided to plan for 2010 so that we'd have enough time to get everyone together for a destination wedding.

Unfortunately, premium season is just about the only time that my younger siblings will both be on break from University (and my older sister is a teacher), and the $5k increase is a lot, especially when I think of all of the expenses we'll have that are not included in the Disney minimums.

I think I'll have to spend some time rethinking whether Disney really makes sense for us or not.
