DFTW has updated their pricing for Wishes weddings effective immediately (the information below is directly from DFTW).

If you already are holding a date you should be grandfathered into the old pricing. If you are already in discussions with DFTW for a 2009 wedding and booking in the next month or so you should also be priced under the old pricing. All 2010 events will be priced at the new rates.

Seasons:
Premium Season – Oct/Nov/May/June
Regular Season – Mar/Apr/Jul/Dec
Low Season – Jan/Feb/Aug/Sep

2009 Minimums:
Mon –Thurs Premium: $10K++ ; Regular: $10K++ ; Low: $10K++

Fri & Sun
Premium: $20K++ ; Regular: $15K++ ; Low: $15K++

Saturday
Premium: $25K++ ; Regular: $20K++ ; Low: $15K++

2010 Minimums
Mon –Thurs
Premium: $15K++ ; Regular: $12K++ ; Low: $12K++

Fri & Sun
Premium: $25K++ ; Regular: $20K++ ; Low: $15K++

Food and Beverage minimums have also been updated. There will no longer be separate pricing for Grand Floridian events:
Breakfast/Brunch: $75++ pp (includes 8, 9, & 10 am ceremonies)
Lunch: $100++ pp (includes the 12 noon ceremony)
Dinner: $125++ pp (includes 2:30, 5, 7:30 pm ceremonies)

Other changes:
Deposits are $2000 at 12 months or when you book your wedding, if less then 12 months then full payment for your event is due 90 days prior to your event

Location Fees:
Wedding Pavillion: $3K and up
Theme Park (excluding MK) and Outdoor locations: $2K and up

There were other minor changes as well - these are just the highlights

Wow. Ouch. We are planning on a weekday September 2010 wedding which means our min goes up to 12k but thats not the bad part. With 40 people the $125 dinning goes up to 5k. That's a total of 4k extra. That really hurts :-( Guess everyone has to drink water. :-)

If I'm understanding correctly..dinner has to be $125 per person?!?! :eek: omg that's a lot more than I wanted to spend.

Dinner itself doesn't have to be $125/pp - the amount of money you spend on food AND beverage per person all day has to total that. So it includes the bar, the cake, and food and beverage at any other Disney-catered events, like a dessert party or bridal tea. :thumbsup2

did they also raise the price for the escape wedding as well?

Escape Wedding pricing is locked in at the current prices until Dec. 31, 2009. :)

I'm penciled in, but I haven't signed anything - am I now under the 100 per person lunch? :confused:

Wow I guess nobody will get married during premium season on a Saturday. :scared1:

Are you kidding me?! $12K?? I'd just about worked to the other minimum of $10K. An extra $2 is a lot to find, especially with the exchange rate as it is.

And now it's $3K for the Wedding Pavilion?! This isn't good news for us at all - coming from the UK there's a lot of extra stuff we need to fork out for too :(

Where is the info posted?

being 18months out i knew this was bound to happen... i just need to keep telling myself... it's only 2000 more, it's only 2000 more.... :laughing: it still does stink though... especially b/c we were on such a tight budget to begin.

Wow the prices have really gone up over the years! I was thinking that I could convince DH that a Wishes VR would be doable, but now I'm not so sure. Guess I'll start looking at an Escape again :sad1:

BTW, while DL minimums are still not as high as WDW, they have continued to increase over the years. When we locked in our rate back in 2002 the minimum for our weekday before 2pm wedding was $5,000! :rotfl:

i was looking at doing an escape wedding in 2010. I know the price for 2009 is 5,500 for the wedding pavilion is this going to increases as well for 2010?

I'm in the same boat you're in... We're planning a weekday August 2010 wedding and we were hoping for the WP... maybe not so much anymore :sad1:

:eek: :sad2:
I have my conference call with my wedding planner on Monday so I'll post whatever info I manage to get. I'm looking at an April 2010 wedding. I wasn't worried about an increase in minimums as I knew I was going to exceed the 10grand for our weekday wedding but I am worried about an increase in other prices. :scared:

I'm getting married next May and I've already paid my deposit and have my LOA, does that mean I'm still under the old pricing? I don't want to pay $3000 for the WP!

I'm sure if we already signed our letter of agreement it won't change since the price for the wp was in there.. atleast i hope!

Actually, I had a question about the food minimum and the whole wedding minimum - does the food add on top of the wedding minimum? Or is it included in the $12K?
Thanks
