new prices for 2011 r up!!

Mmmmmm, 2 nights 27th June at the Cheyenne for 1 person (i have an AP so don't need tickets) £334.60

2 nights in September again at the Cheyenne £280

but then i saw 2 nights in July (ok so peek hols) for £321.75 cheaper than June.

The pricing on the new dates seems odd. It has the 30% thing listed if you book before a certain date, so I'm assuming its including it in the quotes (I took a price through to booking stage to test, seems to be the case).

I'd been waiting for mid-may prices to open up, and have found they don't seem to currently show any different to most of the year, and are higher than expected by quite a way.

2 adults, 1 four year old, Disneyland Hotel, 4 nights (park tickets but no travel) can't find a price under £1411.20 (in fact, it gives me that exact price on nearly every date outside the core summer weeks)

Nothing seems to make any difference, except go for a friday arrival and it hikes up to £1771, any other day (i.e. even wednesday when on a 5 day stay you are STILL going to be there at the weekend anyway!) £1411.20

All really strange given I'd been looking at DL Hotel dates for all the months in readiness for these prices coming out, and it seemed much more affordable (comparitively!) than it does now.

Don't know what to do now...!

Remember to change room type if you aren't particularly bothered about the "upgraded" room - our £280 for 2 nights in Cheyenne in June came down to £263! Sneaky Disney...

There are only three price bands. The whole of your holiday is priced based on the band your arrival day falls into. Green days are cheapest and with a few exceptions these are sun-thur in may, 1st half of jun, sep, oct, nov. Blue days are the most expensive and are generally fridays and saturdays plus most of jul and aug and oct half term week. purple are in between and fill in the rest. If you download the brochure you will be able to see the table of price bands for yourself. This explains why most dates give you the same price. Hope this helps

I think we may bite the bullet and book even though I said I was going to be patient and hope for 40%. It took me completely by surprise that there is 30% off and seeing as we are tied to our dates (already booked our flights home) DH thinks it is too risky to wait in case they don't offer 40% for our dates, especially seeing as it's May bank holiday weekend and half-term.

I'm going to sleep on it tonight (you can tell he's the more reckless of the two of us ) and then make a decision tomorrow but I think I'm going to agree with him.

I think we are going to book too. Previously the 40% off has only been up to 40% off wheras the 30% off is fixed. Last year at the time we booked we got 30% off the sequoia but the other hotels were only offering 15%.

Yes we are going to book now too, we don't want to hang on in the hope that the 40% comes along incase a) it doesn't or b)it isn't for my hotel or my dates.

So... we are going to book for the 27th June for 2 nights. Ok so i will again miss the summer season, late nights and fireworks but these things can't be helped.

Going to sort it all out Monday so keep an eye out for my new ticker

We booked this morning. If they don't offer 40% for our hotel on our dates then we would be kicking ourselves for not booking with 30% off ~ although if 40% is offered I am NOT, repeat NOT going to check to see if our hotel/dates are offered. Ignorance will be bliss.


It will be another first for us, our first time in a Disney hotel at DLRP.

I booked on the Tesco offer last year then cancelled and re-booked when the 40% deal came out. Not sure what to do this time esp as I can't get any Airmiles prices for next year..?

Thanks for the tip on the room type, my trip changes from £1002 to £856 - bit of a difference!

Hi, just had a look at the e-brochure for spring summer on the DLP web-site, and it's still describing the Santa Fe as having a Navajo theme....does anyone know if the cars theme is only short term????

We've decided to go in July, We were thinking of going in September like we did in 09 but we want to go for 7 days and although the kids in Scotland get time off in Sept we would still need a couple of days off for ds (7) and i dont really want to keep him off because he was in hospital for a week with his asthma this year and found it really hard to catch up (doesnt help that he's sooooo laid back lol)

We've priced it and for a week in July its coming to 1229.80 excluding flights and if we book now we get the 30% early bookers offer plus an additional 15% off for dates in July although we have to pay for ds but not for dd (3)

I just dont want to risk not getting a better deal

Poppyolivia - how did you find 7 days? We only went for 3 days 2 nights in Sept and didnt get to do halve as much as we would have liked so thats why we want longer this time so we can take our time and still do everything we want

I would assume it's permanent as Cars/Route 66 fits in with the Navajo theming. Maybe they hadn't finalised it when the brochures went for printing?

Mrsj2b..I could have done another 7 days, because at halloween there is heaps to see and do..I don't think I'd like to do 7 days in winter though, wellis it was themed but not on a non themed holiday you know?

Yeah I dont think i could do a week in the winter but was thinking with it being July and that it will be busy we would be able to do everything we want plus enjoy the sunshine (hopefully!)

We are thinking of booking the Cheyenne as thats where we where the last time and loved it but the santa fe is working out 90 odd pound less.

I think its just the brochure that hasn't caught up with the theme - but remember its only the billboard and the soft furnishings that have changed to Cars (oh and there are lightning bolts in the floor at reception ). The look of the buildings etc is still Navajo, but as Elaine says, Cars fits in well with that anyway. I'd say Cars is definitely here to stay at the Santa Fe.
