New POTC MMO

I heard from a friend that Disney is working on a new MMO (Massive Multiplayer Onine, what VMK is) that is based off of Pirates of the Caribbean. Anyone else heard this as well? If so, what are your thoughts? Will you join?

Yes, in fact some people, that i know of, are signed up to be testers. Although they say the game will be open before the third movie, I am starting to wonder. Once it opens I will join, can't resist me pirates!

I am one of those who signed up to be a tester, though Disney hasn't contacted me about it. My assumption is that they have more than they need!

Depending how it goes, I would imagine that my VMK activity will take a nose dive when it comes out. There's been too much whining and complaining about VMK these days and it's taken all the fun out of playing for me.

Most of us are looking at it as the saving grace of disney mmo gaming.

The first presentation of Disney mmo gaming has no doubt been addicting. I can't imagine what it will be like when it's actually fun too.

Hopefully, they wont destroy the PotC game by changing it constantly out of spite for it's gaming community, or simply wont destroy their games. But then again, I'm not sure if the work has been contracted to the same company.

In Pirates of the Caribbean Online, we’ve created a digital version of the world of Jack Sparrow and his mates where fans can go and live the life of a pirate. Quadrouple Woot!!!!!!!!!!!! I just hope that in playing the new pirates game that I don't lose my connections and friends in VMK. I still enjoy playing and i hope a lot of my friends (mostly people here on the DIS) will play both as I will try to do

Same for me, never have heard from them about it. I would imagine that VMK will take a nose dive. I know the whining and complaining gets tiring, but I personally feel like lately the players have been getting the short end of the stick, so the magic is just fading quickly for me. I'm thrilled to hear POTC will be free!! Can't wait to try it.

Free?!? Yay! I really thought it was going to be subscription-only; I thought I read that somewhere last year. I guess they changed it...not that it's a bad thing! I'd certainly be signing up when it comes out.
