New Pop Century?

I'll be there this October 22 - 29 , so I guess Ill get to see how far along they are, unless they dont do anything t all....Maybe Ill try to walk over there? I wonder if they have it roped off???

I just checked out of POP a week ago We were in the back part of the 50's section. When i looked at the buildings on the other side of the lake I saw one building for rooms. Each section in POP has 2 or 3 buildings. I then saw the main building ala classic hall. There were no cranes or other construction equipment around.

Looking for a specific thread on PC and noticed this one from a few years ago. Just curious if there have been any changes at all to the Legendary years.......:confused3

Nope. It's still Armageddon. Was just there last week.

Seems so odd to leave half built buildings just sitting there...........

I don't know if that's true. Like a previous poster, POP - Classic Years did sit around for a while. I would like to know the specifics behind this. But I know it was at least partially built in 2002 when I was there, because I remember seeing it behind the trees and thinking what it was. It had a lot of the exterior wall art up and stuff. And I don't think it opened until late 2004.

Those half finished and abandoned buildings are an eyesore. I wish they'd either finish building them, or tear them down. They've been sitting for so long that I'm afraid mold & mildew are probably all over the place.

Long ago there was a thread with the concept art for the Legendary Years at Pop Century. It looked great! One of the major themes was Route 66. There was also a Coke bottle pool planned, which isn't too far removed from the bowling pin pool of the 50s. And there was a Monopoly board courtyard for the 30s. It would be nice to have that section of Pop completed if possible.
