New Polynesian Music

Calling all Polynesian Resort Fanatics... Apologies if this has been covered, but I haven't been able to find it.

I can't believe that I'm so upset about this! (I know I should embrace change, but still...) I read on Tikiman's site about the fact that they changed the music loop at the Polynesian, and I'm absolutely heartbroken. As DW put it, it was the "soundtrack to our vacation". There's not much detail except "It's changed," and "It's staying".

Has anyone heard the new music? Please tell me it's still genuine Hawaiian music, and not the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana doing impressions of Hawaiian music.

Seriously though... Is it still good? Does it still set the mood like the old music did? How did you feel about it?

I haven't heard it yet but a few people have recently come back from their trips over the Poly FAQ thread you may want to ask over there and see if they noticed a change.

Anyone know the answer to this? I loved the music too. I know that you can listen to it on Tikimans site. We will be disappointed if it isn't Hawian music. I even bought a CD in the gift shop one trip. I listen to it when I am freezing in the snow in February.

just back from 8 nights at the poly and the soundtrack was the same great music i remember from past stays. no jonas/miley stuff going on at all. i wish there was somewhere to buy the soundtrack because i would be first in line!

Funny, we have stayed at the Poly 3 years in a row and I honestly didn't realize there was music.

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

I look forward to lying in the sun and listening to that music. It's my #1 favorite thing there and pretty much the whole reason I pick the Poly over GF. I also like hearing as I walk the resort at night.

I really, really like that music.

I hope this isn't true. I hope they haven't new and improved it all to hell.
