New policy??? Payment up front?

Nope it is a preferred site reservation. When she made the reservation, my friend asked why & they told her it was a new policy. Who knows.

I just made reservations for a week in May and had to put a $200 deposit down. I was told the balance would be due in April.

I have no problem with that. Probabaly cuts down on the cancellations/changes.

We just made 4 more reservations (we now have 7 total!!!!) and we paid the usual one night's fee as a deposit for each. I haven't gotten any confirmations for any of the reservations yet, though, so I can't say what they say. I asked if they would be sending out any confirmation slips and the CM checked and said my confirmations had gone to someone with my name in Ohio. Stange.....

The CM said she would send them out again. I'll let you know what they say when I get them.

Make sure you read them thoroughly. They look the same as usual but have a small print of full payment required and "no additional notices will be sent"!

I normally wouldn't have opened it but since I am holding several ressies as well for this year, I was checking to make sure everything on it was correct. Otherwise, once I receive my initial confirmation I usually don't open any that follow.

You have a package reservation through WDW Travel Company, that is why the terms were $200 down and early payment.

Regular CRO reservations only require one night's deposit and payment due at check-in.

The travel agent rate may be why the OPs payment is due early.

My AAA rate site for December is due at check-in.

I made my ressie thru 1-407-w-disney but did not ask if I had CRO. I used to do that but never had any problems so got out of the habit. I guess this time I got the travel agent section of their business. It makes little difference since we are still going. I was just wondering how it would impact the payments needed on my other trips in October and December (if I ever get into FW!). I'll have to remember to make sure I am speaking with CRO in the future.
