New Player Questions

I just started playing VMK and find it fun. I have a couple of questions though.

1. How do I add text in my character info. I click on other players and they have 1-2 lines of stuff. I feel like a stalker because there's nothing in mine.

2. Is there a way to change your name? I have no idea but my name is "Well" That's the dumbest name!

3. I'll be going to Disneyland AND Disney World in June. Is there VMK stuff to do/aquire in the parks?

4. Is there someone to go to to request costumes? I have a good one in mind.

5. Where are all the different shops to buy things and how do I get to them?

6. Where do people get the hats with ducks on them? Or the diver helmets. Superhero outfits? Where do you get the cool clothes?

7. Silly question: How many boys do you think are playing as girls?

Thanks for any help. Starting this late is a real handicap.

- at the bottom of the screen is a button with a shirt on it. click it, and you can enter VMK dictionary-approved words in there

2. Is there a way to change your name? I have no idea but my name is "Well" That's the dumbest name!

- no way to do this. if you don't like your name, before you get sucked into VMK any more and invest more time in your new character, you might consider creating a new character to start off with, with a name you WANT. Otherwise, you might end up permanently known as a word that means, for example, Hairball.

3. I'll be going to Disneyland AND Disney World in June. Is there VMK stuff to do/aquire in the parks?

- read Mal's player's guide, which is a sticky in this forum

4. Is there someone to go to to request costumes? I have a good one in mind.

- you can Contact VMK from their web home page, but I wouldn't count on a response. There's a reason why it's nicknamed the Black Hole (although usually, people eventually get replies, if they try hard enough)

5. Where are all the different shops to buy things and how do I get to them?

- again, check the players guide, and explore around. There are shops on: Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. All but 1 shop you can get to without doing anything special; the last shop, in Tomorrowland, you need to complete some quests for.

Click your shirt in the lower right corner - then you can change your signature.

2. Is there a way to change your name? I have no idea but my name is "Well" That's the dumbest name!

Unfortunately not. Unless you make another character with a name that suits you best.

Refer to the guide in one of the sticky's at the top - that can give you some great info on the whole game and quests in DLR and WDW.

You can send a note to Contact Us on VMK - or otherwise known as the Black Hole.

Use the Guide up top - that is a great resource for this information. Unfortunately, the superhero outfit (green) and other outfits are now only available via a trade or if they go on sale again.

Question is - how many girls are playing as guys? rofl
