New Photopass Website

Biggest thing to note is that they have changed the expiration policy - it is now 45 days from the date the photo was taken! For me at least now it won't matter if I start looking while we are there as I won't be wasting 'editing' time.

Having a re-read over their expiration policy, we are actually losing out on time to edit. Sorry if I'm a bit slow to arrive at the party :rotfl:

It used to be 30 days from the date of the first photo until you have to upload all your cards to your account and from there, a further 30 days to edit. That gave a max total of 60 days from when the first photo was taken. Now we have a max of 45 days and can pay $20 for the additional 15. Very sneaky of them. Not an issue with shorter trips but I can see this posing a challenge on a 3 week visit. Assuming many visitors are like me, you can pretty much write off that first week after returning as Good-For-Nothing time

Has anyone else found another link to pre-order photo pass+? The only link I found was in the 'Help' section and when you click that it produces 'error' :/

The time thing all depends on your length of trip - we can get 16 nights maximum with DHs work so I will have 29 days to edit. As I have up last time as I realised we generally don't print the bordered photos anymore I just got the original shots. I can edit in iPhoto if I want to crop or do B&W.

I did do a Photobook which I love doing. We have one from every trip with DD except 1 :goodvibes

I found this link yesterday: https://mydisneyphotopass.disney.go.com/wdwmemories and that seems to work now.

I just googled it last night and got to a link that worked (happy coincidence maybe). A few days ago there was a link on the MDE website which took me straight to the pre order page. I noticed last night, on checking after this thread was posted, that it no longer appears to be there. They are probably in the throes of setting it all up. I wonder if I'd better get my skates on and order it now in case the pre purchase option disappears like it did a few years ago

I think I know the answer to this but I just want to check with you DISers before I book on behalf of a group of us...

Most of the group are staying off site (we are staying at POR & on the dining plan) and for a shorter period of time than us.

We all want to get the photopass as we've used it in the past and has worked really well.

As most are off site they have suggested just the standard photopass but as we are on site and on the DDP we'd like the Photopass+.

Can you still combine multiple cards onto the PP+ if we are in different parks and split up a bit.

I was thinking of paying the difference separately for the extra so the others only pay for the cost of the standard.

Hope that makes sense!

Yes you can still add the regular PP cards to your account, i.e. you can have more than one. PP+ you only get issued ONE card though. So anyone getting ride photos in another park or not with the person with the PP+ card needs to grab the stub with their ride photo number on it and you will need to have it added to your account later when you have the card with you. There is a window (I think it's 24 hours but very unsure of the exact window you have) to have any attraction pics added to your card

Now you've got me thinking Lee  With my sister joining us next year for what will really be a one time only trip I know that I want to get a PP+ I hadn't thought that the pre-order might not be around next year .... now I'm confused as to what to do for the best. If I were to order it now would it still be valid for Oct 2014 ??

Yes, it doesn't expire. I actually emailed them a couple of months ago to ask and they replied saying that there is no expiration on the redemption of the pre purchase :thumbsup2

In that case I suppose it wouldn't hurt to buy it now .... if anything I guess the only thing that would change would probably be a price increase, I doubt they're going to change the product that much :confused3

My parents bought the standard photopass in advance back in Spring 2012 for a trip last September that they had to postpone until this year and Disney said it's not a problem at all and no expiration date.

Thank you! :thumbsup2
That's what I shall do then and we can pay the difference.

Then, when we are all together, we can do ride pics then as a group too.

We're hoping to meet some friends next year who are only planning a 2 night 3 day trip so it makes no sense for the two of them to buy Photopass. Because I get it anyway I thought the same as you - any photos of us all together we can just pass to them. The PP+ system seems to have been geared more towards preventing (or making it difficult) to do PP shares, but if you are spending any amount of time together it will be pretty easy :)

I will let you know how we get on when we get back as I took the plunge and ordered today then wrote a massive post to the group we are going with to try and explain what I'd bought and how it was different but they paid the same as the normal one. It ended up like war and peace! :goodvibes
