New *PhotoPass* at WDW

I'm so glad they are doing this. My DH have been saying for years that WDW should set something up online to let you access you pics even after your home. Cool!!!

I'm looking forward to using this in Feb. I have several times left a park without looking at my pictures, just plain forgot to do it until we were back at the resort. It will be so nice to view them online. :) Disney I'm sure will make more money off of me this way! ::MinnieMo

The link did not work for me. It redirected me to the standard welcome page.

I then did a search for photopass and it came up with zero results.

Any thioughts?

The link didn't work for me either. I even did search on disneyworld.com for PhotoPass, but it didn't retrieve any results. Perhaps the site isn't up and running yet.

I was at WDW Nov 7-14, and they are already using the plastic cards. However, I had collected 5 or 6 of them before someone explained that they can reuse the same card.

The program described in this thread soudns much better than how we were told about it. The girl who asked us about the cards said that they can load character photos or park entrance photos on it, but you can only view "park" photos in the park it was taken in. Not sure how that would affect online viewing of it.

The online program sounds great - they will definitely get more of my $$$ too!

And I tried searching the website and no luck. I will have to look on the back of my card when I get home.

When I spoke to a CM (on Nov 14) about the online access, she thought they were still a couple of weeks away from getting it going. She indicated that they would likely upload all existing photos at that time. So, if you have a photopass from previous weeks, you might be able to see your photos online later.

Thanks CRSNDSNY,

Disappointing but good to know it wasn't me doing something wrong.

Yes, I'm surprised that they'd release this information and the website and not have it available. That's not good business IMO.

In their defense, the newsletter did read "The Web site is scheduled to debut later this month."

Since it is scheduled to debut sometime in November, doesn't it make sense to let DVC members know about it in the November newsletter, and then indicate that it will be coming on line later that month?

Technically, it is the 'later in the month' time-frame. Perhaps we'll see it before December 1st?

This sounds great.. we will be there next weekend and hoping for a photo op with Christmas Mickey for our cards.. this will be perfect! No begging CM's or strangers to take our pictures !! I hope the web site is working by the time we return.

Thanks for the head's up.. these boards are just great, I have learned SOOO much to prepare for our upcoming trip!!:D

Last year we had a great picture of the family with Mickey and Minnie in their Victorian Christmas outfits. I hope this location will be one where you can get the PhotoPass picture.
I think this is a great idea. We usually wait in a long line to see our pictures, only to find out that one or more of us look terrible. Instead of wasting a lot of time, we can check them out all at the same time. The only drawback could be even slower moving lines as people are looking at every picture taken during their vacation. As long as we can check out the pics online, then I guess that can be avoided too.

Looking forward to trying it out in a couple of weeks.

Mike
