NEW Patriotic Mickey pin at TDS

Hi there,
Our store got in some cool new Patriotic Mickey Pins. I haven't scanned one yet but it's Mickey holding a star with the stars and stripes on it and it says USA. They are $4. I'm working tonight and picking up some.

I went down to our DS today and they had no idea what I was talking about. I guess some stores will be carrying the pin and others won't.

while doing shipment. We did not know that we were getting them, so don't give up on your store yet. They may be there and they just have not been uncovered yet. The boxes are not wrapped in glow in the dark neon that say "You've Got Pins--Open Me Now" like I think they should. Your store may find theirs in a day or two.

I called one of the stores asking if they were selling the patriotic pins yet.
I was told, "Umm. No, not yet."
I asked if they were going to start selling them tomorrow. I was told they haven't heard when they will be released.

<sigh> ... It's been a long day, I haven't been feeling well.. I was just settling down for the night and what do I read.. "NEW PINS AT THE DISNEY STORE!"

So I have to get up, drag myself out in the freezing cold (okay, well to me anything under 65 degrees is freezing cold) night and drive to The Disney Store to snag this pin for us and our weekly DS pin buddies. Matthew *couldn't* go because Enterprise was on.

It is a cute pin though! And the patriotic antenna toppers are back in stock too!

Lincoln, NE had the patriotic antenna toppers last weekend.
I ran out to TDS tonight. A real nice CM spoke quite awhile. They just have not unpacked any non-Dreams pins yet. Otherwise, they could sell them now.

I got a phone call from Patti (one of the other Disneyana Divas) who works at my store...we got in the pins and the antenna toppers. Guess I'll be making a trip to TDS on my lunch break! AND....today is the beginning of the Veteran's Day sale! Some things are 75% off!

Well, I spent my lunch break at the Disney Store. I got the new pin, the patriotic antenna topper, and two t-shirts that were half price.

When you spend your lunch at the disney store, you know it is going to be a good day!

I called my two local TDS and they both said that these pins are in "pilot" stores only (of course, neither store near me qualifies), and if they test the market and they do well, they will ship to all stores...boy, they REALLY don't get it, do they?

They were unpacked on Tuesday night when I last worked. They were put out on the floor last night, after closing, at lunch today I went to pick mine up and got the last ones on the rack. All 72 pins were gone by 1:00 today. So, for those of you that are getting them, make sure you get there quickly.

I just called my store, and they are holding 2 for me! I will head there this afternoon--a 45 minute drive and worth every minute for that cute pin!! Thanks for giving us the information!!!

I stopped back at the local TDS this morning to see if they had any more. When I asked for the patriotic pins, they said "that is all that is left" (pointing to a small bin on the counter with a few mickey ears pins). I asked if they had any different variety and was told no. About 2 minutes later I overheard a lady ask the same think only to be told "that is all that is left." The lady (an off duty CM) leaned over and talked to the working CM. The working CM pulled out a small box with a few lenticular pins and a bunch of a pin I had not seen before (complete flag with a small Mickey on the RH side, it was nice). I then walked back over and asked the off duty CM if those were for sale and she said "I am buying these, sorry." I said "wow, all of those?" She said yes. I said "I want to get one of those (referring to the new flag pin). The off duty CM said that that was all of them, sorry. I think that is terrible! Obviously, this CM had hidden those or had someone keep them away from the buying public so that she could get them all. This is the same type of person that when working comes up to Joe Public with a smile saying "can I help you with anything?" By the way, she bought 29 PINS!!! Ridiculous!

GOOFY D -- Time to get the manger/Disney HQ involved, IMHO. One of our stores WAS holding back pins for six CM's. And a CM told me that has ceased. Which I guess explains why four were in line last Saturday.

I ran into one TDS after work. No Piglet at all for tomorrow. But they had restocked with several MM flag star pins.

Whoops.... Just re-read. Off-duty CM...... Well, she's a pin hawg, but what can ya say. It;'s pretty bad when regular customers aren't even given a chance to buy them. But they seemed to be going within the TDS guidelines. Unethical, but.....
