So i know that this forum is for talking about rumors of the park, but i thought another topic could be fun. It lets people use their imagination. Everyone knows Disney World has land set apart for future hotels and 2,3, or even four new parks. Odds are a new park wont be built in the near future, but if you were in charge of Disney what would you theme the new parks after or what new lands would you like to see? Just for starters i will offer a suggestion. I really enjoy pixar and it was led to disneys latest hit movies, Disney also owns the muppets, I would like to see a new park that is kinda like Universal's Islands of Adventure, ONe land could be a pixar area and another land could be muppet, for the other lands well i dont really have any more ideas, but wouldnt a bunch of pixar and muppet rides and attractions be fun. What type of park would you like?

i would love a park that is a princess theme! have a crown for the center of the park!...boys may not like the idea though! maybe a under the sea theme with lots of water rides!

I agree with the expansion of the other parks. I think that each park has a good basis, but just needs more (this includes MK and Epcot). Rides need to be updated more rides need to be added.

I do think that a lot more needs to be done with AK. I love it, but they could expand it to include more areas of the world (Australia, the Americas, etc).

I like the idea of a few more thrill rides (I am so excited about Expedition Everest), but I hope that Disney doesn't go too far with that and end up with a Kings Dominion or Six Flags (those are good in their own respects, but then the tame rides get pushed to the sides, IMHO).

Add a Villian section on to MK that connects to a "Hero/Heroine" section. Both could have amazing rides. Think of a roller coaster where you're running from Maleficent in dragon form. Or a water raft ride in the dark with Ursulla. For the heros, Hercules and Phil are up against Hades and you're "flying" on Pegasus to help save Greece. Or get a real flying carpet ride for Aladdin and take out the Dumbo rip off. There's a lot that could be done within the two areas.
There could be a resturant like Cosmic Ray's with different serving windows/walls. One could be a "Villianous Delights" and the other could be "Hero's Fuel." The first one would have all the unhealthiest things- desserts, ice cream, burgers, pizza. The other would have healthy things- salads, fruits, wraps, etc. (you would be able to order anything from both sides at one place for convience). Each side would also have different collectiable cups and such. If Disney wants another 'Landmark' for the area, the exact crossover between the two lands would be a large mountain (think Matterhorn)- the hero's side would be decorated as Mount Olympus and the other side would be from Night On Bald Mountain (this would be awesome at night).

Someone once posted on these boards that if Disney ever built another park it should be for all the wonderful rides that they have taken away over the years.

World of Motion and Horizons from Epcot would have a home. If You Had Wings from MK.

Hey, I'm all for updating, but wouldn't it have been better for Disney to just keep the old rides and add some new ones?

I vote for AK to be expanded too. We're done there by 2 every time we go.

i really think that the idea of have a hero and villian park is a really cool idea, it would really be fun,

DH had a great idea tonight over dinner. I was not too sold on it until he really started getting into attraction ideas and then I began to see that it could really work.

His suggestion was a History/War Park.

He had ideas about an attraction for a fighter plane scene like the Red Baron over Germany.

He wanted one to be the storming of a castle keep.

He had a timeline of human history going with a show about mankind and where he has been. His caveman portrayal over dinner was quite silly!

He had one about the history of art, another about inventions, and the history of music, Mickey style of course!

I thought it was a bit dark but then he mentioned how Disney already handles "dark' events and villians and people love it.

It is an interesting concept. :wave2:

Maybe they need to double the size of MK. We rarely go there any more because of the crowds. It's wall to wall people there these days, and not worth the effort. :crowded:

There is no way they are adding a park anytime in the near future. The plan from what I have heard is too increase the AK and the Studios. Those two parks have much less than MK or Epcot and suffer from 1 day ticket sales because of that.

Before you ever see a new Park, you'll get a new land at AK (likely North America with Grizzlies) and an expansion for MGM. I'm sure they're developing rides based on Narnia and Harry Potter (apparently they have the rights). I've also heard they have attempted to get James Bond too.

They really need a thrill ride theme park. They would make a killing! My friend says lshe likes to leave Disney at least one day and go to Universal for the thrill rides. If Disney had one, no one would have to leave Disney! Not leave Disney = more money for Disney. How hard is that one to figure out?

And that's a BAD thing. If Disney again monopolizes the market, what need would they have to improve things? Disney will never admit to it, but Universal probably pushed them to open more thrilling rides than they would have otherwise

If you haven't already, check out DisneySea and the old plans for the American History park they wanted to build in Virginia, if you can still find them. Both are great and fascinating. I would like to stay away from a IOA-style thing, that's not what I like about Disney and IOA already exists.

I'm all for the thrill ride park. That will draw the thrill-geeks away from the other parks and maybe cut down some of the lines. :teeth:

I think that MGM doesn't need to get any bigger. It's the perfect size to do in just one day, where al the other parks you cant o in one day. Except AK does need more stuff.
