New parking fee at POP!

Good question. I though each room was only allowed one vehicle? Can you have more?
Why would there only be allowed 1 vehicle per room? You are allowed 4 adults. It's very much within reason that 4 adults could have more than 1 vehicle.

Now, I'd be expecting to pay for each vehicle but no idea what the official policy is.

I've stayed places where it was only one car per room. Maybe that is why I thought Disney was the same. I wonder what their policy is?

ive never been to Disney and not had at least 2 cars, we’re semi-local, due to work and whatever else we can’t always all go in one car.

Most hotels charge a fee for parking. Disney probably saw themselves at disadvantage where someone would look at off-site and see price of $150 (with say not so noticeable $20 resort fee and $15 parking fee).... then they look at Disney Value resort for say $250 and think .... ah that's to much I will just go with the off-site (which at this point is really $185). So Disney is probably trying to market like the competition and instead of raising room rates this year like $15 a night they decided to add it as a parking charge. Next up - resort fee!

Really? Wow. Unless it's a room that only sleeps 2 and caters to just couples I can't imagine why.
Glad I haven't ever had to stay at one of those locations. I often travel with other adults in separate vehicles.

wait, I’m unfamiliar with this “instead of raising prices” you speak of.
We are still talking about the same place?

If I have a rental car, I stay off-site. I refuse to pay $130+ for a value room in addition to a parking fee! I have an AP, so don't pay to park at resorts. I can get an acceptable room for $70 a night, no parking fee and a $10 a night resort fee. The only thing I lose is having to wait for the Disney buses to finally arrive at my resort! My last trip to Orlando, I spent more time waiting for Disney buses than I spent driving from my off-site resort and parking the car! It was ridiculous. For people to say that this parking fee is the industry standard, perhaps then Disney should charge industry standards for their resorts!! I can pay $40 a night, off-site, for a room that is similar to the value resort rooms. Sure, I don't get MM amenities, but I can live with that for the money I'm saving.
And congestion on the roads? I didn't experience any massive congestion a week ago. It's a blatant money grab by Disney, designed to keep guests from renting cars. They get to keep the guest onsite as well as make a few addtl bucks a day per guest. A win-win for Disney.

Just to clarify, if you are staying on-site at a resort, is parking at all of the parks included or do we need to pay an additional parking fee on top of the one that POP charges?
