New parade at MK!

The long running parade at MK ends tomorrow 1/4/14. Supposedly have yet to get this confirmed but the festival of fantasy parade will begin March 16th, 2014. This was posted by two sources on twitter. Are you guys excited for the new parade?!?!

Hoping it appears sooner... We are at WDW 2/21-3/4... Maybe an early debut or something. We love parades. And unfortunately as our trip dates have drawn nearer there have been more. & more closes, refurbs, etc coming up...

Well I was actually surprised myself that it's going in mid march I was expecting early April. I don't think it will run much sooner than March 16th but hope your vacation is fun even without a parade.

I would prefer to see a new nighttime parade, actually. I still love MSEP, however I would love to see what they could come up with using the latest technology.

I am beyond excited. As much as I loved CADCT the new parade will be amazing! The concept designs look awesome, and a friend of mine who hangs with the blondie saw the Tangled float the other day and was nearly crying because it was so beautiful!

I also would love to see a new nighttime parade sometime, though I'm more hoping they amp up AK's parade first...

I agree I don't think disney wants both parades down at the same time so maybe after this new one soon in the future we will see an updated or completely new electrical parade.

I'm in high hopes of an early premiere of the new parade, too! We will be at MK on 2/28 and will have fun either way, but would love to have a daytime parade!

Just for clarity, there have been rumors of Mar 16th but at this point Disney has not given an official date and won't until they know they can meet it. They are still building floats and some of the old parade floats are going to be repurposed.

I am curious - do Parades get "soft opens" like rides and shows? It would be interesting if they added some pop-up performances in the weeks leading up to whenever the official opening is.

I was told by a CM friend that new parades are rehearsed in the middle of the night. He said the Tapestry of Nations Parade rehearsals were totally surreal, as they put on this huge show around World Showcase in the middle of the night with nobody around. I wish I could see that!

I know thats why I said it hasn't been confirmed yet it's probably the date they are aiming for.

I thought I read about a May start last week...

I am so excited for a new parade, was never a big fan of the old one. I would love if the new one was more like the Remember the Magic and got the crowd involved again, I loved that!
