new pal mickey

i heard there will be a new pal mickey coming in may 2005, does anyone know exactly what date it will be available? we are going from may 1-5, and i wanted to know if i should hold off trying to find a better price on ebay so i could get the new one. thanks! a real quick question for anyone with a toddler under two- what did they think of him? (my son will be 20 mos when we go).

It says the new one will be a "Happiest Celebration on Earth Special Edition" so perhaps it will be out in early May to tie in with event? I'd imagine if you can get a cheap one on Ebay it would be just as effective, especially when your child is so young and probably not even aware of 'special editions' and such!

Here is some info I have found on the new pal mickey

Coming in May 2005, a "Happiest Celebration on Earth Special Edition" Pal Mickey will be introduced. In addition, a Pal Mickey costume line will debut in the summer of 2005.

Approximately 25% of his content will be updated, including new attraction lines (Stitch, Soarin', Expedition Everest, etc.), interactive trivia questions that have replaced many of his jokes, several additional games, sing-a-longs, updated character greetings/shows and a new look (costume and packaging). They are also working on a lanyard-carrying device.

thanks again for your help! im still hoping someone outthere might know the date it will be released, because id really like to get the new one. (more for me than my son ) with my luck, it will be realeased the day after i leave... i know that the magical express starts up the day i leave ... how typical!
