:wave2: Does anyone have any suggestions, information, room knowledge, etc. I have points at the BCV,that I am going to use in March 2005. I taking 12 of my family members for a reunion. I really want everyone to enjoy their stay. But of course I would love an epcot view not sure what to ask. And would like to have joining rooms. I am also short 50 - 100 points to make sure everyone is comfortable. Any suggestions? Please. Thank you!:earsboy:

As far as you're wanting an Epcot view, just request it on your reservation when you book. Also when you book, request that all the villas that you book try and be near each other. Just also be aware that MS will do there best to meet your requests but they won't guarantee anything. As to your shortage on points, you can either borrow the extra points from your next years use year, rent the extra points from another member, or see if MS has the rooms availible with the 25% member discount (although depending on the villa size that may get pricey).

HTH's some.

12 people! That's going to be quite a reunion!

We went to BCV about a month ago for our first trip home. I asked for top floor (after having some noisy, running kids above us at Poly), Epcot View. Part of the trip was with the inlaws, so we had a 2BR for a few days then a 1BR. Both had Epcot views but slightly different.

The 2BR was 4th floor (rm 467) and had a view of Spaceship Earth but had the road and some noise from the road as well. I wasn't crazy for that view.

The 1Br was 5th floor (rm 529) and near the main elevators (by the entrance to BCV). We could see some of the countries, and no road. We could see some of Illuminations from there. I'd try to get near the main entrance elevators. As has been said, you may not get it, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Anyone have a different view at BCV, such as quiet pool? I am tempted to try that next year.

Not everyone loves the Epcot view, since it also looks across a busy road. You might actually find the woodlands or quiet pool views to be more beautiful.

Given my own family's preferences, I request a location by mood rather than by view, usually asking for "non-smoking, non-handicapped, quiet location, upper floor."

charliejoes,

We are also planning a large family trip - 12 people (first time with family very scary).... 2 of the families have been to WDW before, and 1 family has not...they are the ones with the small children so that should be alot of fun.

We are planning on asking for in order - ( but would be happy with whatever we get) - non smoking, 5th floor, epcot view....

We have had the Epcot view before and really enjoyed it.

We are probably going to get 1 - 2 bdrm, and 2 studios'..but still might settle for 1 - 1bdrm and 2 studio's - we will have 4 teenagers in our group so we thought a little extra room might help our sanity...

We are using 2 years worth of points, but I am sure it will be worth it.

Right now we are planning for Mar 5- 12...

Maybe we will see you there....

Denise

We leave Friday and will have 14 people. We have a 2 bedroom and 3 studios. I rented points from another member and had them transferred into my account to cover the reservation. The only thing I have requested is nonsmoking and the rooms near each other. It should be fun as none of my inlaws have ever been to Disney!

Well, for these big parties, I'd say don't be reluctant to take over the drawing room, breezway or the Solarium room so you can all get together in a nice big room and enjoy each other's company at different times throughout your stay. That's one of the reasons these nice large rooms area available. Enjoy them.

I stayed in Room 461 with expansive view of Epcot (Spaceship Earth to France). It was OK, not as exciting as a BW view with Illuminations view in my opinion. The road was noisy. I won't ask for another Epcot view unless we plan on being in the room every night to watch.

I stayed in a 1br on the courtyard that looks out onto the back of the BC - very quiet. Nice location, but uninteresting. Good for a quiet mood.

Will try the pool view next.

If I were you - I would decide which is more important - Epcot views or close by rooms. Put that request first and the other second. And don't hope to get both. Remember it's a small resort and March will probably be busy. Certainly cuts back on the choice of rooms.

I'll be calling for a 2br March 3-11 - when are you going?

:wave2: I have read all of the suggestions Thank You so much! Our trip is planned for March 5 - 12 from the looks of it some of you will be there at the same time. WOW how great. Any suggestions would be helpful since this is our first trip as BCV Memebers. 98% of the Family memebers we are taking have not been. Thanks Again !!!:Pinkbounc

For the people who have done this before in March, do you recommend calling a day at a time or since I am at my 11month window would it be ok to call for the whole week at once?

Desperado,

Great Idea, I probably would not have even thought of that.

Charliejoes,

You will love BCV....

Denise

I made our reservations for March at the 11 month window at VWL. I then switched all the reservations to BCV calling day by day at the 7 month window. I had no problems and was able to get all 4 rooms I needed without a waitlist.
