New Osborne Lights 2006

There are some links on here with photos and videos of the dancing lights if you do a search.
Can't wait :woohoo: - this is our first Holiday trip and are excited to see Disney all decorated!

If you saw it last year, it's pretty much the same, except if you've ever seen the commercial where the lights on this house blink to the music, imagine that on the NY section of streets of america. It was very good, but it was very crowded, yesterday seemed a lot of FL res. had the same idea. You could hardley move when it first started.

We were there last night as well and waited till about 6:30 to wander through. I loved it!

This year we were on a mission to find the cat. We did but it took a while since we couldn't search when the lights were blinking.

Yep- more "locals" there last night as well. DD and I, as well as my visiting sister and her friend. We were right next to the switch when the turned them on. I just love when the snow and the music starts. It really feels like the beginning of the HOLIDAY season for us!

I found it interesting that during the first "dancing" segment, no one moved, in the past as soon as the lights were switched on people started to move, but this year everyone pretty much stayed in place.

Love getting there for the lighting of the lights.

Speaking of the Osborne lights, does anyone remember the first year they had them, and you had to walk up one of the back lot streets, {you know, before the stunt show forced them to eliminate the back street area} and then you had to turn around at the end of the block, and come back the same way! Talk about a massive traffic jam!.

I think I've asked this before but not seen the answer. Can you view the osborne lights after the 7:30pm Fantasmic show?

What time do they start everynight?

They start around 6 PM, and you can see them until the park closes, which is technically 8PM, but we have been there as late as 9 PM, and they were still on, and it was far less crowded. I would suspect that they would figure on folks getting out of SpectroMagic, and going to see the Osborne lights.

What cat???? Does this mean I need to go back again? :)

When the family sent all the decorations to WDW they mistakenly sent a black cat from their Halloween decorations.

Every year the cat is in the display somewhere.

Here's a hint: Look up not down

We were speaking to the main man for the light show and he was giving an Imaginear from DL the tour. Seems that DL wants to do a similar display next year.

Thanks for the tip, we will try and see it after Fantasmic, because I don't think we will have time beforehand.

How often during the evening do they do the dancing lights?

Every 4 or 5th song. You can tell when the lights are going to dance when they turn the snow making machines off.
