New Orleans Mayorial Candidate and Disneyland...

When my husband brought this to my attention I couldn't believe it. Kimberly Williamson-Butler, one of the humpteen candidates running for mayor of New Orleans, has a nice picture of her and the French Quarter on her stump site. Take a close look. Anyone notice that bright blue garbage can directly to the right of her? Looks familar to us Disers huh? Well it should, it is a Disneyland trash can! The picture is of Disneyland's New Orleans Square!

I should also mention that Ms Williamson-Butler was also recently arrested for contempt of court. As clerk of criminal courts it was her job to make sure the evidence room wasn't tampered with or had any damage from Katrina. She refused to let in the proper personnel to do this task. She spent 3 days in lockup and when she came out she proclaimed to be a political prisoner, in the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This woman was also responsible for countless voting machines showing up late or not showing up at all for the 2004 Presidential elections.

Well anyway I thought this was interesting and I should share with the Dis. Oh and Disneyland is looking into copyright laws.

Reminds me of a few years ago, when my DH and I were planning our honeymoon to Hawaii. I had bridal magazines out the wazoo, and certain places' tourist boards would advertise in the honeymoon sections. There was one ad for Bermuda, and I thought it looked beautiful there. "What am I doing going to Hawaii?" I thought to myself. Turns out, their photos were of Hawaii!

It was in the paper....Dh told me about this. Had I seen it before I read the article though, I would have noticed right away! As any self-respecting Disney-holic would. They use the same darn trash can everywhere, they just paint it a different color.

I would just love to know why she thought this was a good idea. Disney is looking to sue her, and knowing THIS candidate, she will say it is because she is either African American or a woman....that seems to be her tag line lately!


I am surprised it hasn't hit any other news sources though, this election is a pretty big deal, and what she did is just so out there!

It seems like, to us outsiders here in off-site NOLA ( ), that y'all are led by the biggest bunch of losers known to man.

Honestly, I really don't know. Nagin(our current clown...er mayor) started out really well. Actually before he lost a few screws he did a lot for New Orleans and getting the film industry back here. Frankly I think he has lost it, who wouldn't with what he went through in Katrina, and we need something new.

It is politics as usual in new orleans, and La for that matter. What really boggles my mind is the lack of voter fraud. Back in the day when crooked politicians wanted to get in office they would have people vote under names of the deceased. Now it is actual voters putting these yahoos in office!

Is she running for mayor of New Orleans, or Port Orleans French Quarter? Maybe she can write her trip off as a business expense because she had to go there for the photo.

I read today that when Disney lawyers got wind of this, she removed the telltale garbage can from the pic and then returned the doctored photo to her website!!!!!
