Okay, I am planning a trip for next Halloween ('05) for Myself, partner, DD (will be 3 then), niece (6), and possibly the grandparents.

What should i do 1st....other then obsessively read this board?

Do I reserve rooms now? Wait for codes? Go thru travel agent, book online? Where do I start?

I don't have much money saved yet...starting a change jar.

I've looked and haven't seen anything here that started from scratch, any info will be helpful.
I would like to stay 3-4 days, and focus on MK...the adults have all been before, so this is mostly for the kids. (MK and resort pools are prolly gonna be the main attractions)

Thanks

Hi jewelmick

I'd start getting ideas of resorts I'd like to stay at - I think WL would be the cheapest for the MK area, but if there's more than 4 of you maybe FW cabins would be a good route?

I'd suggest going with Dreams Unlimited - I've personally never used them but heard nothing but great things about them!!! They'll get you the best possible prices and would be the best place to start. Here's their site:

Have fun planning!!!! :teeth:

When I first started I:

Read the boards and asked questions

Bought The Passporter and
The Unofficial Guide to WDW

I read and read, then planned and planned. I booked everything separately instead of buying a package and saved a lot of money.

either buy or go to the library for the book "unofficial guide to Walt Disney World" by Bob Schelinger (spelling?)
It is THE BEST book about the world! It has any and all info that you will need with an UNbiased opinion.
Also, read these tip boards as often as possible.
I made up a "tip" sheet for each park--Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and MGM. I bring a clear plastic report cover in my backpack in which I insert my tip sheets. I have handed these out to many friends and all loved them! I got all of my info from the Unofficial Guide as well as my past experiences. On each sheet, I put down our favorite restaurants, a few of the menu items and prices. I also put down if something was horrible, to avoid it.
Hope this helps!

Yes, I agree::yes::

go and get the 2005 Unoffical Guide. It has a lot of useful information. We used an Unoffical guide when we first started out.

Happy Planning
