Listen to this crazy story:

May 2007. Left for awards thing (I'll explain later) in D.C. on a Saturday. Came back on Tuesday late afternoon. Went to school Wednesday. Left for class trip--TO D.C.--on Thursday. Came back on Saturday.

Trust me, an hour isn't that long in an airport.
By the time you get your luggage, if you're hungry get something to eat and clear security for the plane you're going on, there'll be next to no time left.

I've had four hour layovers before, they aren't that bad.

I love going into those hokey gift shops and being like "ZOMG where are we?" when everything says the city name on it.

10-20 minutes, depending on how big the plane is. They do a ton of calls and last-calls, so you should make it.
