New Nemo ride - how do they do it? (SPOILER ALERT)

The bit at the end where Nemo and all his freinds look like they're
really in the real fishtank. Its certainly very cool but I cant work
out how its done.

Anyone got any ideas ?

I was trying to figure out that part too!

I did see that the scary fish (the one with all of the teeth) was actually a puppet on a stick. The same type that they use in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show. I told that to my husband and he did not believe me. I only saw it because the guy in the clamshell next to me was taking pictures with a flash.

My husband still thinks I'm wrong! Oh well

Yep. Scary fish is a puppet.

Not human-controlled though. Its on a long robotic arm !!!!

they developed a new technology for this ride . I do believe they are using transparent LCD screens.

The Anglerfish (the "scary one") is an AA, like any other - from Stitch to the Yeti. The projections in the tank are also just that - projections. Done very, very well with proprietary tech, but it's still just projections.

If you stick your head out of your clamshell (not recommended!) and then look above it, you'll see a screen where the images are being projected, then I believe that the rest works like the ballroom at the HM - ie. you are just seeing a reflection.
