***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

This is interesting...I was told that I should check back at 28 days too, when I spoke to a CM on the phone. However, at my 60 day mark (about a week and a half ago), I was able to make MB choices and FP+ reservations. Granted, we check in at the end of November. But, our stay is through December 6 and I was able to make FP+ selections all the way through to that date. I sure hope they don't, at some point, erase them from my MDE page. I spent a few days tweaking them to be just right!! :confused3 Just in case, I did take screen shots of each day's fastpass selections!

I think because you check in at the end of November, that is the reason you got the MB and FP+. We check in on 11/29 for room only, and then check-out and back in on 11/30 for our dining plan and then check out again on 12/10. I was able to customize my bands 65 days out and then FP+ at 60 days. There is a December thread, I haven't read through it but it would probably be a good read to see what other people are/aren't getting.

Hi all - This thread has been very helpful to read as we prepare for our January trip where we are hopeful to use MB and FP+ - but I have noticed a difference between what shows up on the App and what shows up online... our 5 day PH tickets are missing! We booked it all through Disney and everything shows up online... but there are no tickets on the app when I look at MDE through my iphone. Is this a problem that I need to call IT about? I just worry about modifying FP+ while at the parks using my phone! TIA!

The tickets we booked through Disney never showed up on the website, while the ones we linked manually did. They did eventually show up on the app. We were able to schedule FP+ without problems for our entire group even though tickets were not showing up. We are using them this week without any problems.

Looks like if you select an attraction from the map for FP+, all (even the ones that "aren't available") come up with a check mark. However, for the ones that "aren't available", the checkmark will not turn green and say selected .

Hello, have not been to Disney in a bit and haven't been keeping up with the new fp+ rollout so please bear with me..

My question is we are going to Disney this Friday, staying offsite and plan on buying tickets when we arrive. How does this affect us. Is regular fastpass still available right now? Are we going to be at a huge disadvantage if we haven't already made fp+ reservations? Any info is helpful. Thank you so much :)

No change for you and you can use the FP paper just as you have in the past.

MB still testing phase for on site resorts right now..

Have a great time in the wold!

Hopefully there are lots of patient people here, because this is a lot of information and I'll be honest, I did not read every page. DH and I are traveling to WDW the end of February. We have a RO reservation and will be purchasing park hoppers through UT. When can magic bands be ordered and when can I schedule fastpasses? I just don't know how much of a rush I should be in to get my park hoppers and get then linked.

Theoretically, if you link your UT tickets to your RO reservation on the My Disney Experience website, FP+ should be available 60 days prior to your park visit. However, it may be later than this (or, unlikely, not at all) if "testing" of the system is going on. For November visits, people were not able to make FP+ or customize (order) their magic bands until the end of September. December arrivals are still waiting, unless they have MB from a previous visit ; those people seem to be able to order FP+ up to 60 days prior. When I booked a Feb stay, my CM said I could go on-line immediately and customize my magic bands, but this clearly isn't the case. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't expect you to be able to order magic bands until closer to the end of December or later.

I think it was wishful thinking that MyMagic + (term for all the new tech) would be fully operational by December 1st. This has clearly not happened. It is my belief that testing will continue longer than people were counting on. Honestly, does anyone think they will fully open up new technology before the Christmas crowds?

I cancelled my stay for Feb, partly because our time was limited, partly because I want to see how FP+ shakes out. I'm staying "off-site" at the Swan and Dolphin in June and I hope that FP+ is fully implemented (including day and off-site customers) by then.

Good luck!

There are reports of people not being able to obtain regular FP(FP-) with their KTTW or park tickets when they are using FP+.

Any other reports on this change? Or do these ppl have a a fluke...

I pulled FP- for Soarin' using our KTTW cards and APs on 10/5 while using FP+.

My experience with FP+, My Disney Exp and park tickets....kinda of a :mic:

Today I ordered online Magic Your Way tickets plus VMCP tickets for my Dec 7-14 trip, staying at SSR. 58 days out. The ticket confirmation number would not link the tickets to My Disney Exp.:confused3 as I needed to link to book FP +. Website gave me a number to call.

Called and was transferred to IT. After a long hold IT was able to link the park tickets and not the VMCP tickets.

With the rep on the line I tried to book FP+ and site would not let me. The rep at first did not understand why, she put me on hold and spoke to someone else and they said that the program is just being rolled out in phases and unless you get a special letter/email I will not be able to book FP+ until 28 days out.

I think it has to do with the resort you are staying at, but not sure.

I expressed consternation at not being able to obtain FP+ as some are able to obtain at the 60 day window. She assured me that this would not happen. Not sure how much I believe her assurance.

Was disappointed as the reason I purchased the tickets this far out was to be able to book FP+. :sad2: Also total :hourglass wasted on phone on various holds 46 minutes

What resort are you staying at and when? Your counter says you are six months away from your next stay. That's a bit more than 60 days.

Right now, only guests staying at Disney-operated resorts can participate, period. And the 60 days window is not exactly in place either. It is working for some but not all.

They are currently also giving KTTW cards to guests as a backup device, and they work in the FP kiosks. If you have a separate AP, that works as well.

So, do I have to use the KTTW cards (instead of my MBs) to get into the park if I want to use them to get paper fastpasses? Or, will the FP kiosks recognize them even if I've used my MB to get into the park?

My counter is wrong, have not had time to fix it.

As I stated in my original post am staying at SSR Dec 7-14, 58 days out. SSR is a Disney operated resort. All my resort reservations are properly linked to my Disney Exp. and my Disney Exp shows 58 days out.

I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone checking in during December have been able to customize their MBs or make FP+ selections. If I remember correctly November only opened up a little over 2 weeks ago.

You can enter using your MagicBand and the KTTW card will be able to pull FP-.

I think you are right, as the rep said that I wouldn't be able to book FP+ until 28 days out. I had thought I had heard you can book FP+ at 60 days out as long as you had your tickets and were on property.

Once FP+ is fully rolled out, the 60-day-in-advance rule should hold. But during this "testing" phase, it's all been a blur.
