and you could choose any 5 songs in the world....What would be your choices for today?

Ooooo... tough choice. I have a couple crates full of 45s for my eventual jukebox, so I'd have to dig thru them to find five. Then again, I can visit my parents. They found a few bargains and have four (yep, *four*) jukeboxes in their house. Not any classic boxes or too fancy, but still... they're working jukeboxes. :) You name the song, they probably have it on 45. :)

Mine are all oldies;

1. I Will Follow - U2

2. Could You Be Loved - Bob Marley

3. Seasons of Wither - Aerosmith

4. I Robot - Alan Parson`s Project

5. Johnny B Goode - Peter Tosh

1. mustang sally

2. when a man loves a woman

3. house of the rising sun

4. roadhouse blues

5. anything by aerosmith- seasons of wither is a good choice, as is
mama kin, nobody's fault and woman of the world!

these are my 'feel good' songs! i travel once a month for work, just a 3 hour trip each way, but almost always hear one of the first four on the radio (and have plenty of aerosmith on cassette in the truck!) and it makes the trip that much easier!

1. Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine
2. My Sacrifice - Creed
3. Here We Go Again - Everclear
4. Come Away With Me - Norah Jones
5. Where are you Going - Dave Mathews Band

And monalsw, I'm glad you said anything by Aerosmith, because they all sound the same.

Here are mine for today:
1. Angel (Shaggy)
2. Annie's Song (John Denver)
3. Strength of a Woman (Shaggy)
4. Walking on Sunshine
5. Something To Talk About

Now see...all of Dave Mathews songs sound the same to me! He has that same whiney pitch in them all!

Yikes....you should go have your hearing checked. :teeth:

Dave Mathews is one of the new guys that clearly knows what he's doing.

Wow...that would be an everchaning list...here it is so far though...

1. Picture - Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow
2. Forever Young - Not sure who sings it....its 80's though
3.Iris - GooGoo Dolls
4. Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
5. The old Journey into Your Imagination...The original...LOL...love that song

I can't make up my mind on the songs...but Alphaville sings Forever Young.

For today it would be:

Rocket - Def Leppard

The Needle and the Damage Done - Neil Young

Beautiful Child - Fleetwood Mac

Chain Lightning - .38 Special

Nice To Be With You - Gallery

Luckily I have a 1968 Wurlitzer so I don't have to choose just 5. :D

(Although there are some recent songs I wish I had on 45)

Subject to change at a moment's notice:

1) Into the Mystic - Van Morrison

2) Rocky Racoon - Beatles

3) Hey Jude - Beatles

4) Give it Up or Let me Go - Bonnie Raitt

5) Nights on Broadway - Bee Gees

:)

BTW, Rod Stewart sang Forever Young in the 80's. Bob Dylan also sang a song called Forever Young, completely different song though. His song is far superior to Rod's, imo.

eeek! oh well, good thing we're not all the aerosmith fan that i am, lol!

btw, who is dave matthews?
