New Mugs

Hello everyone. I think I read here that there are new refillable mugs that can be used at ANY resort? We have DVC and like to pool-hop occasionally. We are staying this trip at the Wilderness Lodge. So if I buy two new 2007 mugs, I can now use them if we go over to swim at the Polynesian, or after a meal at a different resort? Does anyone know if that is now OK?

Thanks.

I believe that the new Year Of A Million Dreams mugs can be used at all the Resort counter service locations because they now say good at all beverage island stations, or something like that.

I'm so glad that you posted this thread. I had wondered the same thing since we will be doing a split stay this trip. I knew that if they were all the same that it probably wouldn't be an issue as noone would really know. But I didn't want the mug police to come and cuff me. :goodvibes

We often do a split stay and I think the new "any resort" mugs make sense. I will defintely buy a couple on our first day now!

The new mugs say: "Free refills available at our Resort Beverage Islands until the end of the stay in which the mug was purchased."

Have fun.

But, tell me something I've always wanted to know...WHY pool hop? I don't mind and couldn't care less about the fact that you're doing it. I've just always wondered why people would bother going to a different hotel to swim. I always ask in the pool-hopping threads, but everyone is too busy arguing to tell me why they want to. :)

I think you can use the mugs at any resort now but I don't think pool hopping is allowed.

The OP says that she owns DVC. DVC owners are allowed to pool hop legally.

That's true but they also need to call ahead to the Polynesian to get the all clear before they can swim there. If they are told the Resort pool will be busy with Polynesian guests, then I think they will not be allowed to swim there.

Hey all! Didn't mean to start a pool-hopping war here... Yes, we have DVC and we always stay on points. We have never been told "too crowded, go away" probably because we usually visit early in the day when there are not too many other folks in the pools.

We have been going to Disney forever, and when we pool hop it is usually after breakfast or boat-rental at one of our favorite resorts. We often have a hard time picking where to stay each trip, and so we will pick one place but have breakfast or go rent boats at another favorite one. This stay we are going to the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, but we'll have breakfast at Kona Cafe, and then hubby and I will sit and look across the lake while the kids do the volcano slide for an hour. Since we get to do WDW a few times a year now, we don't even go NEAR the parks in the summer until the nighttime. During the day we swim, shop, do Disney Quest, ride the boats or monorails around... anything less hectic. We always have our vehicle so going to another resort is pretty easy.

I am looking forward to having a mug that works at all resorts!
