New Monsters Inc. Coaster

I've been saying they should do this since I first saw the film!!

This would be a really cool ride! I'm thankful that Disney and PIXAR have made their merge flow very smoothly. They certainly belong together!

As for getting rid of the Backlot Tour, I say that all it needs is an update, not a complete overhaul.

I'm loving this idea. I also promote the idea of Disney revealing plans for Pixar Place around the time Harry Potter land is coming out. Another Toy Story attraction, this Monsters Inc. attraction and definitely some Cars attractions should be the backbone of this area. The Backlot Tour is very jammed in there now because of the Lights Motors Action show. Maybe relocate it?

This is great news if true. This really could be Disney's answer to Harry Potter. They would come for HP and stay for Pixar (if done correctly). The Monsters Inc ride is great news, I was hoping for the ride at DLR, but I think this is better. Toy Story Mania is a great addition. I would like A Bug's Life dark ride where your shrunken into a bug and have a Haunted Mansion omnimover car, but more advanced with air cannons, water cannons and the hopping thing that TMAoWtP has. Add another family ride (pray for cars) and DHS could bring a ton of people to the park.

His artical is a bit wrong though. The Backlot TOur is still on the list with it's name and the "Honey I skrunk the Movie Set" was changed to "Moving Set Adventure".

If they do keep this up The Pixar takeover at Tomorrowland could be over. A new Autopia without a Cars retheaming (just more futuristic an interesting overall) would be anazing. The Laugh Show could change into a WallE actraction either the Crush Coaster or a similar show just retheamed. Buzz, Stitch and WallE would all be amazing mascots for Tomorrowland. I dont what Monsters or Cars have to do with the future.

While I think it would be great to have another attraction back there to make that area more of a "land" vs just a ride, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sure they will add something back there, and I would not be suprised if the timetable turned out to be correct, but roller coasters aren't cheap. With so many other priorities in the parks ie DCA, and the prospect of lower attendance over the next year, my guess is what we actually get will be a far cry from this ambitious plan. I would love to be wrong, but just my thoughts....

Not only DCA, but if Shanghai Disneyland is true it will be the biggest DL in the world and wont come cheap. Same with the rumored 5th gate half day park (again, if the rumors come true. It would basicly be an addition to AK like Discovery Cove, but still).

With all of that I doubt Disney would let the rest of WDW just sit where it is. 1-3 new rides at WDW should be expected within the next 4 years BECAUSE of these changes. And if any park is going to get an major change it's DHS or DAK. A monsters like would be great, whether it's this, or the DCA Dark Ride. I do think a Cars Ride is going to come no matter what.

In Disneyland - California Adventure I think - they have a Monster's Inc. ride. Very cute. We enjoyed it.

That would be cool, but I don't believe anything I read on his site. ;)

I do know that a lot of changes are coming to DCA by 2012 to add Pixar (Cars) in. But this was an official announcement and short video produced by Disney.

If it is going to be a family-friendly attraction & will be housed inside of Soundstage One.
I am thinking it might be a size like this coaster from Carowinds:
(without the water part of course)

Looks like fun!
