Ok. Want to try the tame part of Mission Space. Is there a separate line for this? Does it actually spin or is it stationary? Are you still strapped in and lean forward like the regular part?

when you get on line you will approach a CM who will ask you which version you want to ride. the cm will hand you a colored type ticket which you then get on the appropriate line . at least that's how they did it when i was there. the tame version does not spin. yes you are still strapped in, perform the necessary actions with the controls. everything is the same but the spinning.

Green = tamer ride

Orange = original ride

DD went on Green but thought it was lame :rotfl: On our first trip in -03 we all went on the original one as it was the only one and me & DH got really nauseated though DD then 8 yrs old LOVED it and wanted to go again.

This trip, she was the only one to go :rotfl2: , we waited outside :rolleyes1

The green team is the same except for the motion. I found it much more enjoyable than the spinny-make-me-want-to-throw-up orange version. And I don't usually mind spinny rides....simulators, that's another story. My DH wasn't as impressed as me with either version, and will likely not ride again.

My DS6 and I rode the tamer version while my DH, DD13, and DS10 rode the rougher one. There were soooo many warnings beforehand, that my DS6 and I almost exited before getting on! We were scared for nothing! It was very tame. In fact, my husband and older kids thought the "rough" one wasn't bad at all, either.

i wont do the spinny version but i absolutely LOVED the green-team version. i went on it a bunch of times and actually was laughing out loud the first time i was on it out of joy and amazement. think star tours, but on steroids and much more personal. my new 2nd favorite attraction at epcot, hands down.

Yeah not fair for me who hasnt ever been on the ride, in 03 the ride was a LOT more intense than it apparently is now, and in Dec 06 when im going i fully expect them to have made it even more tame, NOT FAIR!!!

Thanks for the info. Is green tamer part a motion simulator (does anything move on this attraction) or is everything stationary? I don't mind Star Tours, but my sister does not care for those types of attractions.

The green version still moves - it just doesn't spin. You will tilt and lean just like the orange version.

The lame side is so fun :) And I dont have the worries of being sick all through the ride like I would on the regular ride.
