New Military Discounts update

I have heard this from my ITT office as well so I just wanted to give everyone and update. Remember that until Disney officially releases these discounts everything is a RUMOR and subject to change. Apparently the discount will be released once the contract is signed with the MWR Office.

Here is what has been passed around:

Hotel Blackout Days: November 22-24; December 23-31; March 25-April 4, we do not know the discount yet. Fingers crossed it stays the same.

Deluxe and Deluxe Villas: 40%
Moderates, including campsites: 35%
Value, including Art of Animation: 30%

Blackout dates are Nov. 22-24
Dec. 23-31st
And the week of Easter

Their actually the same, but I did notice when I was trying to book that availability was extremely limited.

Definately call back and try with someone else. I've called a number of times (over the years) to apply a discount and gotten a CM who doesn't know or have the right information. I'm usually able to call right back and get someone else who is able to help me.

I honestly just think it depends on the cast member you get. The one who helped me said that they were allowed to start booking today, but that they were not supposed to be talking about them. I would just keep trying. I made certain to emphasize that I knew people who had already received the discount.

Remember to be polite, but you can always ask to speak with someone else or you can ask your cast member if they can check with a supervisor. I think there is a lot of confusion with this discount, and since you don't know specifically what code to reference it can be hard. I can tell you I booked deluxe dinning and the code that shows up on my booking is Q5K

Try again!!!! I called an hour ago and the first CM stated that she heard they would be extended but they weren't in the system yet...I hung up, called back and got a CM who easily applied the discount so I changed to POLY CL!!!!!

YES!! Keep trying I know 2 people, before reading in here, that were able to book with the new promo, even though Disney didn't release it to the public, it IS in their system so they can book it for you.....

I just tried calling again and I was told that there were not 2013 military discount rates available. I told the CM that some "friends" were able book with 2013 military rates and asked her if she would just check in the computer and she said that she has never heard of that.

Oh well, I guess I will try again later. I'm just too antsy lol.

Same here. I tried again this morning as well and the CM sounded a little annoyed. I'm getting the feeling that the codes were released and then for some reason pulled back.

I just got off the phone with a rep named Amelia.She said she was aware that people were posting on the internet that they booked using the military discount but they weren't supposed to be booked using the military discount at this time.She put me on hold and called guest services.They told her the discount should be released either Sunday or Monday depending on when they get all the information loaded into the system.She also said she doesn't know what will be done with the reservations that have already been booked ahead of time.I asked if there was a special phone# to call and she said no.Take it for what it's worth.It's very disheartening.

I just got off talking to CN as well as their boss. Not out as yet call back next week (middle) Both told me if someone booked it the CM would be in trouble. Not in the system as yet so I was told But soon she said.
