Anyone been to the new Mickey Breakfast at Paradise Pier Hotel yet?

Specifically, was the food good and what characters were there with Mickey?

Can't wait to find out as I may try to switch my priority seating from Goofy to Mickey.

Thanks
Lora

Bumped because I also want to know...had to leave early yesterday morning & didn't get to check it out as planned. Anyone?

Ooooh, a Mickey breakfast? My kids will be sooooo excited!!!! Can't wait to hear more about it.

Someone posted a video on youtube that they took on the first day of the Surf's Up breakfast (their video is called Stich's surf lesson), and in the video you see Stich, Daisy, and Minnie. Also, over on the Disneyland website for the PCH grill, there's a short slideshow that shows Mickey and Pluto in the pictures. So at least for the time being, it's the same characters as the old Lilo and Stich breakfast, except Mickey is there instead of Lilo.

Lilo is not longer at the breakfast, only Stitch & the others of course. I haven't eaten there yet, but I read that they are not offering a la carte options anymore so I'm guessing it's a buffet only. :confused3

We ate there this morning. It was buffet only and the food was pretty good. They had a flatbread with spinach and cheese that was outstanding. There was an omelette bar, granola/yogurt bar, bagel with lid and cream cheese area, lots of pastries and fruits, Mickey waffles and pancakes, a delicious oatmeal, chocolate/peanut bread pudding, usual assortments of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and fritata. Lots of other choices I don't remember.

The characters were dressed in beach theme (which was ironic this morning as we watched it pour rain outside the windows). Characters included Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Stitch, Pluto. That was it but they did a fabulous job of circulating. They did an interactive kud's activity every ten minutes: learning to surf (Simon Says), a hula hoop activity, learning to dance like in High School Musical, etc.

Overall, I liked it. I would definitely do it again, particularly since Mickey is there. We had the chance to meet Mickey at Magic Morning and the birthday party celebration, but if we hadn't, this breakfast would have been ideal. My DDs really like Minnie and Daisy, so having those two available was very enjoyable. The characters were very sociable and did an exemplary job of circulating.

Great info! Thank you for posting about it so promptly! I, too, was wondering about it, as I am a sucker for Mickey. That is very interesting that ordering from the menu is no longer an option. From what I had heard, the Lilo and Stitch menu items were a bit cheaper compared to, say, the Storytellers Critter Breakfast menu choices (which are $$), so that is too bad they are taking away that option. BUT, I assume this means they probably expanded their buffet a little bit to be a bit more extensive than it was before - maybe not up to the size of the Goofy's Kitchen buffet, but probably more than it was at the Lilo and Stitch breakfast.

Can you tell us what the cost was (before any discounts were applied)?

This breakfast sounds perfect for us. I have 2 dd's and one ds, and the characters mentioned would make them all happy. They'd also get a huge kick out of the games/dancing. That buffet sounds like the Minnie and Friends one, which is delicious IMO. I can't wait to check it out- I'm sure having Mickey there will make it quite popular. When we did M&F the kids kept asking where Mickey was, lol.

Another reason to go back. I love that Mouse. One of the reasons I go to Chef Mickey's in WDW.

Thank you so much for the detailed info! Do you mind sharing the price of the buffet with us? Also, how would you rate it in comparison with the other character meals that you've been to (if any)?

We were there on Saturday and the food was great!! Characters were the five mentioned previously and they were out the entire time. The adult price was $29.99, I didn't notice the kids price.

I'm afraid I didn't catch the prices. My DH's parents treated that meal. It's been a couple of years since I was at Goofy's or Storyteller's, but from what I recall the food was about the same at GK and better at Storyteller's, but I thought the choice of characters and quality of interaction was superior at the new Muckey's breakfast. With two young daughters, AG still wins with our family and I find the quality of food to be better at AG as well.

was there on Sunday and the only differences between Surf's Up with Mickey and Friends and Lilo and Stitch breakfast is they've added a couple new menu items...I really dug the chilequiles and the flatbread chorizo and egg pizzas and of course Mickey...Lilo wasnt there but stitch was as well as the typical characters and one other thing...prices HAVE BEEN RAISED...for 2 adults with tax it came out to $65 and some change and of course the addition to mickey mouse...and it was so packed it was crazy...didnt like that one at all..Im used to going without waiting forever to get food oh and they got rid of the banana foster french toast:sad2: and replaced it with peanut butter french toast:headache:...Ive always felt the food was good at the PP breakfast...I personally do not like storytellers very much...its very hard to find anything bad at PP breakfast but I have found bad things at goofy's and storytellers....
