I just discovered this forum and have one question that I am sure has been covered, but will Disney let one select the loop for your stay. We are planning a trip down in late Jan and the last time we were down three years ago we did not like the loop we were assigned as much as ones we have had before. It appears they have made several upgrades since we last visited.
thanks

Your loop assignment depends on the type of site you reserve (ex/ If you reserve a preferred, you will be assigned 100, 200, or 300. If you reserve a partial, you will be assigned the 1500 or 2000).

You may request a loop, but it is not a guarantee.

I have read here that the best way to request a loop is with a pleasant fax sent about 5 days before your scheduled arrival. This worked very well for us. Here is an example of the fax we sent, with personal info redacted.

The fax# for the Fort is: 407-824-3508

Date of Fax

TO: Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground Site Assigner

FROM: Full name address is listed in
Address
town, state zip code

SUBJECT: Site Request for Dates for reservation

RE: Reservation # XXXXXXXXXXXX

I am really looking forward to my stay at the Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground and am writing about campsite requests. I do understand that these are only requests and cannot be guaranteed.

If possible, I would like a site in Loop XXXX with a site that will accomodate the following: Equipment listed. I wish to be in the XXXX loop because Reasons listed.

Thanks so much for your help, and once again I’m really looking forward to my visit to Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground.

If you have any questions, I can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX or by email at XXXXXXXXX@XXXXX.XXX

Sincerely,

Welcome galena!!!! :welcome:

Pull up a chair to our campfire. You'll like it around here.

And as far as loops...you've already received good advice. Make sure you book the type of loop you want, and then request a loop (with a backup noted) using the form momof6 used. We've followed that process and never been disappointed, although of course there are no guarantees.

Have a great trip! And be sure to look around the FAQ's at the top of the camping page for tons of good information on planning your trip to the Fort.

Welcome to the boards!!! :yay:

We have really had some good luck in requesting loop sites for the past several trips. Nearly everytime we arrive they have assigned us to a different loop and always have changed it to the loop of preferance. This past trip we had a campsite and my parents had a cabin and they changed both to be closer. (we forgot to link our ressie's - each thought the other did it)

Good luck and you are going to have a great time!:woohoo:

Welcome and Happy New Year!:welcome:party:We have always enjoyed the luck of the draw. Even the kids git excited wondering if we will be close to things or will we have to ride are bikes Can we walk or ride a bus The kids like to bike ride every place we go!
