Welcome Capt. Do you know anything about the program you bought into? How about SSR? You've come to the right place for answers. I'm trying to decide if you bought in after a few too many Margaritas or if you intended on doing it before the cruise. Happy sailing.

Dave, why do you feel as if you have to continually behave in such a childish manner. Won't you allow anyone some "joy" in their DVC purchase even if its not your choice of resort? I guess not and that says a lot and is so sad.

Just got back from our first cruise on the Magic. And while on board we bought into SSR. Starting out with 200 pts. They are also giving us last years pts. So we are starting out with 400 pts.
We don't really plan on vacationing again till next year! Will we lose last years points?, how many points can you bank total??
I'm new at this can you tell!!

I have the phone number to bank those points if you need it...just pm me and I'll give it to you (just in case your vacation club guide didn't give it to you). Those October points have to be banked by March 31st...just call the number, give them your name and your vacation club guide's name, and let them know that you want to bank the points.QUOTE]

Whwn I called Member Services, I was told that I had until the scheduled closing date. My paperwork was sent back, my scheduled closing date was may 11. Which in my case gave me 7 weeks extra. I think part of that has to do with the 15 day cooling off period. Then the leagl stuff just takes time. Call and ask member services.

I just read this and the little quote of mine. I'm really confused what you felt was so mean about it? Please show me the mean parts, please. The part about the Margaritas was a joke, the rest was serious questions. I wanted to know if the guy had done any DVC research or if he had just dived of the boatboatboat and purchased. Nowhere do I mention anything about his choice of resort or knock SSR. I've had plenty of posts you could "call out", this isn't one of them. You are trying to read something that isn't there.

OP-Glad you joined! We've recently joined as well and I love SSR just to spite some loud mouths. Haven't even stayed there, but *gasp* I love it anyway!
