So, we have a trip planned for this November. We have a February UY. I have a large chunk of Feb 2016 UY points I will be banking into Feb 2017 use year. I need to go ahead and do it, and soon, as I would like to book an April 2017 trip with these points. (am I correct in thinking that way?) But for some crazy reason I'm nervous about banking... I am 99% sure we won't do another trip b/w November and February but maybe its something about the fact that banking is FINAL??!!! LOL.. anyone else feel this way? i guess i need to just go ahead and bank so that i can at least go ahead and book my home resort now for April, yes?

And I have a history of throwing in some last minute trips too.
What I often will do is if I have enough points in the next UY to make the reservation I want I will do that and still wait to bank until the deadline. If I don't use the points and bank then I have MS reallocate my banked points to the reservation after I have done the banking. One thing is that though they have done this in the past they don't really need to continue to but if they stopped allowing this then I'd just have to use them some other way or attempt a cancel and rebook. At 99.9% certainty of not booking though I'd just bank and then borrow if the .1% happened.
