New Member Looking For Advice

I hope I can get some feedback from those members who have been around for a while. I am a member of SSR with a March UY who is looking to stay at BCV next August 12-22. I was wondering what my chances are of obtaining a one (1) bedroom for those dates.

I do know that this is an open ended question, but I am just concerned as a new member that I should make my ressies now for SSR in a one bedroom instead of waiting until the 7 month window.

Due to employment issues that my DW and I have, we have to make hard date selections versus flexible dates. My thinking is that the resort will be somewhat quieter as most will be heading home for the new school year.

Any feedback from DVC pro's would be greatly appriciated.

Given your situation, I would book at SSR now, then try to see if there is availability at BCV at the 7 month window. That way, you are assured of a room. You can switch to BCV without penalty, if there is availability.

I agree with Chuck's advice...book SSR now and try for BCV in January at the 7 month window. If you don't get it, you can still waitlist for it with a good chance of it coming through.

I think that since you are looking at mid to late August, your chances are pretty good to get it at 7 months or the waitlist.

I agree - remember that January is the busiest month at MS. So it will take time and patient.

might try for Saturday on the basic that lots of members like me - didn't see the new hours until someone here posted it.

Thanks for the advice from all. I booked SSR this afternoon and the MS member (Lynn) was awesome explaining my options once my 7 month window opens. Thanks so much for your responses, it makes life much easier knowing that you will get a question answered from fellow members.

Don't think you will have any problems getting BCV in August at the 7 month.

The ability to switch from a reservation made with the 11 month exclusive home resort window to a reservation made using the 7 month all resort window is one of the wonderful flexibilities that I love about DVC.
